I've been a loyal customer and have purchased many bubble tea drinks here over time. I chose to support this business because I wanted a bubble tea shop to succeed on Metropolitan. Unfortunately, my recent experiences have left me deeply disappointed.
When I saw a BOGO deal on Uber Eats, I decided to take advantage of it. I picked up my drinks and went to sit in the outdoor garden area--an area that doesn't offer table service and is typically used by customers. Shortly after, a rude cashier approached me and told me I had to leave because the drinks were from an Uber Eats order. There is no signage or notice indicating that Uber Eats customers are not allowed to sit on the premises.
Despite being frustrated, I continued to support the business because my kids and their friends enjoy the drinks, even though I find them too sugary. On a hot day, I ordered drinks for my children and planned to head home. My daughter's friend decided to stay at the shop after ordering four drinks and desserts. Yet again, the same staff member came over and told us to leave--specifically because my daughter's drink was from an Uber Eats order.
This policy is confusing, inconsistent, and frankly, off-putting. They don't provide table service, yet they act as if the outdoor space is exclusive to full-paying, in-person orders--something not clearly communicated to customers. If promotional or delivery orders are not allowed to be consumed on the premises, that should be stated upfront. When I go to other bubble tea places that provides promotional deals, never have I once been asked to leave because I purchased a promotional item. It's COMPLETELY BELITTLING! shame on you for treating your customers that way. To that woman working there- YOU should not work in the food service. Even if your policy was that uber eats customer cannot sit inside, it can be said nicer. Have some tact. So classless.
It's unfortunate to see a local business treat loyal customers this way. I won't be returning--and I hope they reconsider how they train their staff and treat...
Read moreThe manager of this place consistently discriminates towards my sister and I ever time we come in. Keep in mind my sister is fair skin with curly hair and I’m a dark skin Latina. We are constantly told we can't be here because "we don't buy anything" when the fact of it is we never at any time sat here without buying something. I consistently buy boba tea or gelato EVERY SINGLE TIME l've came in!!! They don't want us here because we sit here for a long time when this is supposed to be a lounge area. All we do is talk and hang out, we don’t never made loud noise or anything of the sort to be treated this way when there are loud kids here all day. we just hangout and we’re older women as well! we are consistently kicked out 1-2 hours before they close for "cleaning" but still take other people during that "cleaning" time. It’s not right, I work in the medical field even if the place closes at 8pm and if I have lab work or cleaning the beds to do I stay till 9-10pm if I have to! That’s what a job does when you work! We've always been polite to workers, spent lots of money here, and even tipped workers. I witnessed several occasions with people bringing in outside food and sit here eating it while buying boba and these “people” she allows to do so are literally white (caucasian) but the moment I did it, I get yelled at in the establishment like I did something illegal?!! I personally feel discriminated against and I will be making sure the owner knows of this as well. This upset me very much and was unacceptable. This manager is always so...
Read moreIf you’re looking for a cozy spot with delicious drinks, treats, and a warm ambiance, Julieats Cafe is a must-visit! My husband and I stopped by recently, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular.
My husband ordered the mint mojito coffee, which was refreshing and perfectly balanced—not too sweet, with just the right hint of mint. I went for the cheesecake dream, and oh my, it was incredible! Every sip was rich, creamy, and absolutely indulgent.
We couldn’t resist trying some sweet treats too, and we’re so glad we did! The vanilla éclair was light and full of flavor, the chocolate chunk cookie was soft with generous chunks of chocolate, and the classic fudge bites were decadently rich. Each dessert was a masterpiece, making it hard to pick a favorite.
The cafe’s ambiance truly stands out. We were drawn to the outdoor space, which was inviting and beautifully decorated. The festive Halloween decor added a whimsical touch that made our visit even more enjoyable.
On top of the fantastic food and drinks, the service was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and thoughtful. The staff even surprised us with a few extra little treats! It’s the small gestures like these that make a place memorable.
Julieats Cafe offers not only mouthwatering flavors but also a beautiful, welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a delightful...
