I love this place! Ive been coming here with different friends for about three years now. the staff is is usually so friendly and always recognize me and treats me like a regular (because i am) but the new bartenders do not create the same atmosphere as some of the old ones(we miss you wendy)๐ Last night the girl serving my boyfriend and i was very rude. we tried giving her the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe she had a rough day but her friends were right there and she cared more about them then the customers it seemed. she seemed bothered that we even walked in. she rolled her eyes and carded us when we wanted to sit at the bar, which is fair but she was so mad once she saw we were of age lol. afterwards she just kept giving us dirty looks which was making us very uncomfortable. the side eye was real but i dont even know what for. she took our order without barely saying a word to us and took the menus out of our ways when i was still looking at it. still i was like whatever maybe its just her personality or like i said maybe she was going through something, but then it really felt like everything was an inconvenience for her. we said thank you everytime she handed us something really trying to be nice to her and not once did she say your welcome or try to be courteous to us in anyway. i was confused bc i really thought we did something to her that made her hate us so much. the other staff member, a young guy ,that was there ended up doing a bulk of the work for the rest of our time there and he is always so professional and attentive so it made the rest of our experience a little better. my boyfriend wanted another drink however and the guy server had to get her to make it and at this point she was no where to be found. he got her and she made it with such an attitude and like slammed the drink right in front of him and didnt say anything. that was kind of our last straw because we felt like she didnt want us there for whatever reason. we got the bill and left after that and of course still tipped 20% as i work in the service industry so i would never let the rest of the hard working staff suffer because of her behavior. ive never seen this girl in there before but it was a really weird experience. ive seen new bartenders and although they arent as trained as the staff who had been working there for years, they are all friendly and attentive and hard working. her energy through our entire...
ย ย ย Read morePoor customer service. I came here as an Uber driver to pick up a customer's order. I showed the woman tending the bar my order, she checked the name really quick, and turned away without literally saying anything. Okay, fine, obviously the order wasn't ready since there were no bags on the counter, and I'm used to waiting 2-3 minutes for an order, as long as I knew it wasn't going to be excessive, so I didn't think too much of it. I end up waiting for around 10 minutes while watching the female bartender tend to normal customers and actively avoiding interacting with the group of waiting delivery drivers. I ended up sternly shouting across the room, how long am I gonna be waiting for my order. She ends up pointing to the empty counter, presumably frustrated that I asked in the manner I did, but there was literally no other way to get her attention as she was ignoring us. She eventually ends up going back of house to check on the order, and reports 20 minutes. I immediately canceled.
It just made no sense to wait that long, as it cuts too much into the brief time I have allotted for deliveries and drastically reduces my hourly rate. My frustration comes from the fact that, if I knew the order was going to take that long from the BEGINNING, I would have simply canceled it and Uber would have assigned it to another driver, yet I wasted 10+ minutes for no reason, only to cancel. It doesn't sound like a lot of time, but it's actually tremendous for a delivery person where literally every minute counts. Not only am I wasting my own time in this situation, but I'm wasting another customer's time, as I had another order waiting to be delivered in my car.
Probably one of the worst time wastes in recent memory for me, and it could have been easily avoided if the bartender simply COMMUNICATED and learned to give accurate time estimations so the delivery people can CHOOSE whether it makes sense for them to wait or not, rather than silently going about her business. If I never spoke up, I would have likely been waiting there much longer, which, again, would have utterly destroyed my hourly rate. Most restaurants doing Uber understands the importance of giving accurate ETA's to the drivers by now, but I guess this was beyond the...
ย ย ย Read moreWent here for the first time for ladies night Thursdays. Never been here before but the encounter wasn't pleasant. Anyway.. the chicken was dry. We ordered half of boneless chicken thighs. We are pretty sure like 99% they were all breast Requested for half and half and they were all soy garlic. It was fried burnt... dry. Not juicy at all. Ordered wings also... it was half and half but again Not juicy hard and really dry. We only had a few pcs of items left and they refused to let us bag it. I understand the kids point that people were taking advantage of the ladies night and over order items intentionally to bring it home however you can see and differentiate that this was not the case we just didnt want to waste rhe food with only a few pcs left not a whole meal. Theyd rather toss it out than just let you take it home. We only had about 3 pcs of chicken left. And a few pcs of calamari. Overall food wasn't good. Cheese balls fries and the potstickers were the only thing that was ok. Wouldn't recommend and would not come back ever again.
I've worked in a Korean fried chicken spot in Manhattan. I know what I'm talking about when it comes to KFC. Check out bon chon in Manhattan 38th. Not the one in Bayside! Meat is always cooked juicy. Just didn't want to head all the way there and wanted to check out a...
