I would like to leave a review. I came with my girlfriends in a good mood on Friday night to Saturday night and was happy to visit this place and have fun on Friday night. My friends provided a Texas id and driver's license and they were allowed in . I gave the security guard the real New York ID that I got from the official New York office. And your guard refused to let me through. I asked him to explain the reason and he demanded my driver's license, moreover I showed him the photo of my travel passport which was stored in my phone to check my year of birth and data. He refused on principle to look at other available documents. And told me to leave the premises. It was raining terribly, I refused to leave the area of checking documents and remaining in a good mood asked to call the manager. I asked him several times "why can't I pass?" to which he did not answer me, I asked to call the manager, he just ignored me and demanded my driver's license. I have NEVER had a driver's license in my life, I use Uber, subway, driver and do not drive a car. Anyway, I was terribly disappointed with the hospitality of this place. I really love to dance and have never had a situation like this. I can get into any bar or club in New York. But no, your security guard ruined my night. My friends and I left. I'm very, very disappointed I...
Read moreIâve been going to Jupiter Disco since they opened and I have always enjoyed dancing there, the vibe and music is generally good. This review however was for the very rude experience I had last night. I was siting at the bar, close to the DJ just taking a break after dancing and because a guy was bothering me on the dance floor grabbing me. I donât know what possessed the guy who collects the empty glasses and cleans the bar table to be so rude but he was literally reaching over my head and body to clean, when there was no one on the other side of me, he couldâve gone around me. He apologized but kept doing it, and it made me feel as if they were bothered I was sitting down or something, although at that moment the dance floor wasnât that busy. I was also dancing from the stool engaged with the music. As someone who has been going there since the beginning of time, I found that behavior from the employee to be extremely disgusting to literally have his body over me as a 5â3 female so you can clean despite all of the space. After like 10min after that I left and went somewhere else. I feel turned off from...
Read moreThe name Jupiter Disco definitely fits the vibe. The bar is dimly lit, except for the pink neon light decor, and glaring retro TVâs that use a code-like typography to display the menu. This combined with the minimal, yet industrial aesthetic makes you feel like youâre getting shwasty on the Starship Enterprise. Cocktails are crafty and innovative. I ordered The Hit of the Search Party and The Longest Night. Both cocktails were refreshing and a bit on the sweeter side, but overall delicious. The bartender was also very helpful and knowledgeable about the drinks and their flavor profiles. I went on a Wednesday, so it wasnât busy, but they had a DJ who played mostly 80âs techno music, so I could see it turning into a literal disco on the weekends. Definitely check it out if youâre looking for craft cocktails in an unassuming, yet...
