TL;DR Served the most pathetic BE&C of my life, and was told that is how it is made EVERYWHERE in NYC.
Pretentious and Self righteous staff, without the food quality to justify it.
They have a human working the counter that told me, a 25+ year NYC breakfast veteran, that I shouldn’t complain that there was not enough bacon on my sandwich because EVERYWHERE IN THE CITY puts 2 slices on their Bacon Egg & Cheese, I was even told to ask the delis around me (which I did as I was so taken aback by her aggressive ignorance) and turns out they all serve 3 slices!!!
Not only did this raincloud of a woman refuse any kind of addition to the sandwich, she never even for a moment acted like she could be in the wrong.
Today I complained about my first bacon egg and cheese in my life and was told I don’t know how the city works by a woman who prepared and defended the most pathetic sandwich I have ever seen in my life.
I had to get the agreement of fellow customers there that the sandwich wasn’t up to standard and only then was I compensated. First told I’d get extra bacon (I came in an asked for 1 extra piece so I could enjoy my food) then just given my money back and told not to come back tomorrow and order the same thing.
Again, this lady is so wrong about her business practices her approach to other humans and her general attitude and presentation. I don’t know why she would think I’d ever come back.
If you read this make sure to get 3 SLICES of bacon, it’s your right as...

Their side veggies are utterly amazing. $10 lunch plate, protein, rice, beans & veggies & w/ their custom fruit juice included. Huge meal, amazing. Also ask for their jalapeño condiment it’s awesome too. UPDATE: Not sure what happened there but the family that runs & owns the place have become quite unfriendly & have raised their prices dramatically. Inflation yea I get it but their attitudes are horrible. I’m assuming the food is still great but i no...
Read moreIt's a very expensive corner store. They charge tax on nearly everything you buy. There's an $8 minimum charge to use a debit or credit card (which is insane). All in all, you're paying midtown Manhattan prices for downtown Bronx quality. It's never busy in here, usually locals go here because the next store is a 10 minute walk from here. If you're late for work or need to catch the bus quickly and don't have time to go anywhere else...this is your place. Not a place you want to go to every day if you...
