Updated 2022-11-06: NOT THE SAME RESTAURANT! Absolutely not comparable to the original! Original WAS 5/5 in everything. The new one is 3/5 at best. The pizza is smaller. SKIP the pasta. The calamari and burrata app are NOT the same. Very sad 😔 this has changed for the worse. The Original was on par and maybe even better than Roberta's. The new UPW is not comparable at all. Go to Roberta's. The two wonderful wait staff has also left. This is a completely different restaurant. Even judged on its own merit this is is average across the board at best. Not worth coming back. Updated (4/22/2022); Came for the dinner this time! Was just as amazing! Food and service are always amazing. A real neighborhood spot! 5/5!!!! The calamari app was was super tender and crispy! Squid ink seafood pasta was savory and fresh! Tagliatelle with ragu was meaty and satisfying. Both homemade pasta dishes were all on point! We also had the pizza with speck, this was amazing as expected. The lemon Pana Cotta with pineapple was light and the smokey creme burle were excellent desserts! Great food, excellent potions, friendly and warm service, and real cozy atmosphere. Definitely one of our favorites! Original review for brunch: Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent atmosphere. Overall fantastic! Everything exceeded expectations. The portions were great and the flavors were on point! Made reservations for the Saturday lunch/brunch around 2pm. Quiet and breezy day and we sat outside. Service was quick and we were quickly seated. Ordered the paloma cocktail. Nicely balanced with tequila, grapefruit juice, and a hint of sweetness from the sugar. Not too much ice and came out quickly. For appetizer, we had the burrata with prosciutto. More than enough to share between 2 people. There's drizzle of olive oil and fresh black pepper. The burrata was creamy and went well with the flavor of the prosciutto. There was also complementary foccia bread. This was excellent cheese and ham! For entrees, we had the carbonara and pizza with mushrooms and prosciutto. Both were excellent in portion and flavor. The carbonara was just right, al dente, the flavor was really cheesey. Not the saucey type of carbonara but it was excellent nonetheless. The pizza came out piping hot. The thin crust was crunchy, the toppings, the sauce, and the cheese were excellent together. Great texture from the toppings and then sauce. The crust was good as well, it wasn't burnt and has nkxe chewy texture. For desert we had the Panna Cotta with the berry jam on top. Soft creamy and milky texture from the Panna Cotta contrasted well with the tangy and slightly sourness from the berry jam. Light, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Superb neighborhood spot! Will definitely be back for dinner!

One of our favorite restaurants in NYC. It's good. Take a lyft from midtown Manhattan good. My wife loves the 4 cheese pizza. They didn't have it today, we took the cacio e pepe. It was good. The crust is amazing - much better than eataly, at the very least. I love the cacio e pepe pasta and they made it for me with a smile. I can't describe how good this is. I've had it in several places and countries, and I have to adjust it. This one... Is just perfect. It's all that you want. Bite after bite of perfection. And I also have to call out their very famous Panacotta. My god. It is absolute heaven. You think you've had good desserts, but as you taste the blackberry and Panacotta together, you realize this is riding on an angel's wings. What a jewel of a restaurant. They put Manhattan to shame.

Shared a wonderful dinner with friends at Union Pizza Works before a night out! It's the perfect spot for a delicious, well-priced meal. Atmosphere: chill and fun! Service: perfectly attentive. The staff explained the specials and menu items to us and were always ready to refill our drinks! I believe one of the managers/servers was Italian based on his accent, which is always a great sign! Food: excellent pizza! We ordered the special of the day which was AMAZING! We also ordered a margarita with prosciutto which was bellisimo! I could have had a whole one to myself 😂 We had the gem salad as well which was made exactly how I like it. Finally, we had some really great (and affordable!) cocktails and glasses of Prosecco.

Terrible service. I made a reservation for a Tuesday evening around 6pm. As we entered, the restaurant was pretty empty with the exception of a few diners. We were greeted promptly and directed to be seated at a 2 person table which my bf and I found a bit small. I asked if we could move to a table with some more room, referring to the shared style tables that can accommodate multiple groups, to which the server/manager answers “sure, but if a table of 5 happens to come in and we need the space we will have you move”. So if you just stay here I won’t have to bother you”. I was so taken back by his comment that I had to have him reiterate just so I could be clear, and he just confirmed. It was so unnecessary. His demeanor was careless and pompous.

He then suggested a round table in the back that he felt safer to put us in. You know, as the restaurant awaited the huge Tuesday night wave that we would have somehow interfered with. All I remember thinking was “this place better be jam packed by the time we’re done with our dinner to even quarterly justify that rude comment he made”. And it wasn’t. Like the nerve of him ! I understand that some restaurants have strict policies about seating, but he could have just said no. And if I didn’t like it I could have just went somewhere else. Even as we were eating, another couple walked in and sat themselves at the same picnic style long table that we asked to be and were accommodated, no problem, no warning. I really wanted to like this place and even traveled far to get there bc the vibe seemed great online. but this experience was...

First off, if you don't or have not solo dined, do yourself a favor and go and experience it. My review is both to praise the food and there server but cause awareness on how tough it is out there for restaurants. So I had the prosciutto e Funghi pizza with a magnificently paired wine. The dough was fresh and had this gorgeous char that only comes from a brick oven, the sauce was light and sweet and bagged you to continue to eat. The wine had nicely earthy notes that paired well with the mushrooms. Definitely an envelope siciliano style pizza. My server had this welcoming and charming personality that meshed so well with the place, amazingly accomodating. As far as outdoor dining goes it was well secure of the elements far better then most Bushwick establishments. I was warm and had no wind whipping me in my face and didnt have to wear gloves to eat my food. Though that is the less ideal way, we do what we do in order to keep these restaurants open during this harsh climate. Also, be mindful of the strain this places are going through and...
