If you see on my account, I have left no reviews for any restaurants so for me to go out of my way to publicly write this is enough in itself. I was excited to try this place since I live close by and I love to visit and support local small businesses in Astoria... I ordered a classic breakfast wrap and added peppers. My bf and I dined in but had outdoor seating. I ate the first half of my wrap and it was delicious, but when I took my first bite into the second half, there was a black hair in it. I showed my boyfriend before going inside to say something because I wanted to make sure that it was indeed a hair. So I went inside to the cashier who is a young girl and told her. Then a woman who works there (possibly a manager) came up too to look at it. Then without washing her hands, the cashier (who you know is handling money, touching the register etc) went into my food and pulled the hair out (touching the avocado in my wrap) and THEN said the hair was NOT hair lol so I sat there like okay... so then what is that? They claimed to me that hair is thicker (which no it definitely was a hair im sorry lol) and they said that whatever it is I got it from outside.. there was no offer to make a new half (which I wouldve been content with i wasnt even looking for a refund) no apology no nothing. The staff there are NOT wearing hair nets. The cashier who put her fingers in my food did NOT wash her hands and they didnt offer any other alternative and instead let me just go back to my table to eat the other half that they just put their fingers into.. This was today. I am disappointed and not trying to be a Karen but like.. I was definitely gaslit and I did not eat the rest of my food because their customer service truly turned me off. That was the first and last time I will eat there after that experience.
The prices are great but their staff did not handle this well. This is the first time I have ever experienced this anywhere so I will not be coming back. IF YOU COME HERE CHECK YOUR FOOD TO MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO HAIRS OR ANY OTHER SURPRISES BECAUSE THEY WILL CLAIM YOU GOT IT...

The food is ok but be aware that they charge according to how they feel….example I buy always the same items and from 8.45 some Days goes to $10.75…this is something happening often and is getting really frustrating! They ask you what you want to eat and said bagel with egg and cheese and a tea…he said ok and I see in the charge he also added bacon (that it was not asked and it was not even put inside the bagel) when I told them it is not correct the price because as he I asked and told his colleague to make was just an egg and cheese bagl and there is not bacon in my bagel and told him he often try do ask for more money the cashier guy instead of being apologetic had the nerve to yell at me because I told him he always try to charge me extra and being a regular customer I Know the exact price! Not to mention one day I was litterally short one cent otherwise I had to break a $50 bill they told me to break $50….I wonder who is the owner…very horrible customer service manners! Read moreI ordered 3 items. All 3 of them had issues.
One of the items was forgotten, never made. Had to wait extra time on top of the 18 minutes already waited. Foods getting cold already.
When I got home, the second item was something I didn’t even order. So I had to go back to get it fixed and by the time I returned everything had gone cold.
Third item was made completely incorrectly.
When I brought up that the third item was made incorrect, the older worker at the register dismissed what I said and felt it didn’t matter responding to me, “I gave you a more expensive item” and that he wouldn’t CHARGE me. CHARGE me for what?! For something that YOU messed up on. Very funny. When I tried to explain to him that I didn’t want the more expensive item and just wanted the order I ordered, he kept telling me he gave me a pricier item. I wish there was an option at the store to pay a higher price but you actually get the order you want the first time.
If you wanna waste your time when getting breakfast this always seems the best...
