The food is usually good but they have the absolute worse service. Not sure if it's poor management, staff or racism/prejudice but my family and I won't be going back there. I saw racism/prejudice because all the other non black tables got their food b4 us. It's happened at least 3 different times we've been there. This location has been open a few years now and we live in the neighborhood so we try to support and try new places in the area. The last three times we went there, we've had such bad experiences. The most recent was on Mother's Day. I came to celebrate with my pregnant wife, mother in law and my two toddlers. We were waiting for our food for over an hour and saw that 3 other tables that came in way after us getting their food before us. I asked the waitress who by the way did not check on us at all after all that waiting, what's the wait with the food. She said with an attitude that everyone is waiting on their food and that she spoke with the kitchen. Another staff came and said they will at least give us fries while we wait. The fries never came. Then after escalating I saw another table that came in after us go their food so I got up with my family and bolted out. Two of the 5 orders we ordered came shortly after but by then it was too late. Similar experiences happened on three different occasions so I have a 3 strike rule and yesterday was the 3rd. Absolute horrid experience...
Read moreIt was my first time visiting with my sister. It was not busy, so the waitress, Maria Celeste, from Spain (inside joke), took our orders. She was super nice and serviceable, considering that the place was not busy. A plus for us. The food was delicious (yes, we were starving), but small portions. We ordered the chicharron and guacamole with plantain chips. The chicharron was not crunchy at all, but it was fresh and delicious. I would normally say something about it, but it was delicious, so I didn't. The sancocho was also delicious but served on a small bowl. Not enough to take leftovers. A huge plus was the service. The food tasted good, not crowded, and the price was decent. A huge negative for me was the portion size and the 18% tip disguised as a service fee added to the bill. It obligated my sister and I to shell out an additional tip to Maria Celeste. Had the 18% service fee not been added, we would have tipped her appropriately. Overall, our dining experience was pleasant, and the food and service were good. Thank you,...
Read moreThis place is great for pan de bono and Plato paisa! The food is freshly made and the service is great. My waitress was very polite attentive and Informative about the menu items. The only downfall is I can for a piña colada and when it was served it was all liquid not frozen at all and after serving it to us was when they mentioned it was not working. She asked if I still wanted it but we couldn’t drink Piña colada water. I’d say they need to improve on the drinks and drink presentation but overall I’m super pleased with their food. The place is right in a corner of a...
