My friend and I were craving sushi, this is a sushi spot that’s open til 1 am. That was good enough for us. We went around 9:30. I was not happy with our experience. I’m gonna throw the waitress under the bus, Karina, was the worst waitress I’ve ever had. She was very inattentive and didn’t even seem to care that we were dining there. I can understand if the place was busy but more than half the restaurant was empty and nobody was dining in the outside area. We were ready to order relatively quick but Karina took FOREVER to come take our order. We were looking around for her because we couldn’t see where she was. We even told the hostess we were ready and she said she’ll send the waitress. She didn’t come and we still had to wait. I really wanted to just get up and walk out but we were craving sushi and decided to stay. I can’t stress enough how long we had to wait JUST to place our order but we eventually did. After we finally received our food and drinks, I personally was not happy. I thought the sushi rolls were very underwhelming, really small for the price, and all I tasted was avocado. On the other hand, my friend liked it so it’s an acquired taste to say the least. Anyways, he wanted another sushi roll so we try to get our waitress to give us another menu but, again, she’s nowhere to be seen. It’s frustrating at this point. Then a busboy comes to our table to take back the dishes and we ask him for a menu. Thank God for this busboy because he gave it to us RIGHT AWAY! After we decided on one more sushi roll, we had to find Karina who, again, TOOK A LONG TIME TO COME TO US. She finally took our order again. After we were done, I found her across the room and signaled for the check because I knew she wasn’t coming over to us anytime soon. We were ready to pay right away because we just wanted to leave at that point. Again, she took so long just to process the payment. Come on man, pick up the pace. The worst service ever. 4 house sushi rolls and 1 glass of soda came out to $72. We ended up spending an hour dining in when we could’ve been done in easily 20 minutes. Keep in mind, it was not busy at all. All in all, I don’t think it’s worth it and I do not plan on...
Read moreMy experience was great! Last night I went to Mamasushi with a friend of mine and we were greet by a tall build handsime guy lol, the host was a female who guide us to our seats near the street ( Not too transit) it was okay Few seconds later our waitress came introduced herself (her name is Ana) she offer water or mineral water. She came back with our water and I ask us if we want something to drink 🍸🍹 I looked at drinks menu and I ask her which one of those drinks are from light to strong and she couldn't answer my question but she said ( The bartender use measurement cups but if I wanna a lite drink she can let him know) in my personal opinion all waiters and waitresses should know about drinks so they can recommend which drinks suit your customers needs! Well I ordered the Chinola and my friend had Honey drink; she came back with our drinks She asked if we were ready to order our food and yes we were lol, I had Steak medium well with Tostones and my friend had sushi platter. Omg drinks were super delicious ( Not too strong) and the food speechless.. few minutes after our food arrived they were a large group and they asked us if we could seat near the heater on the other side we said yes and we were glad we did because it was super warm and I think it was the manager he asked us if we want him to turn on the lights we said no because we have enough lights where we were seating (Thanks) they did their best to made us feel comfortable after they moved us to another table. The music is loud but not in uncomfortable annoy way unless you are inside the restaurant After we finished eating she came back to asked us if we would like something else and of course we had our second drinks 🤭🤫 but this time it was strong made My head spinning lol the Bodyguards were checking for drunkers 😂... Ana was very attentive, she was checking on us very frequently and how the food was etc she personally likes what I ordered and she mentioned to me ( when she started working there, she had the tostones by self almost every day) yummy Tostones and the steak was really tender.

Read moreTwo words... Complete Buffoonery. Unless you enjoy getting refills of water, watching your friends eat and paying for food you wished to enjoy, please avoid this place. Sure, the atmosphere looked pleasant and the food smelled like it would taste good but there really a 1 in 3 chance that your food would actually be given to you. Me and a party of 8 ordered 7 Chicken Teriyaki meals and a "Kobe burger". We were blessed with several refills of water while we waited at least 45-50 minutes for our food to come out. Then it happened, 5 ordered were placed on our table. 4 Chicken Teriyakis and the Kobe Burger. It all looked good. I was happy to watch my friends enjoy their food...... But that was it. Another 30 minutes went by and my friends were done but to my surprise, me and 2 other friends were still baffled that our food was still not delivered. After stopping the waiter, we asked, "how much longer for our food" and she gazed into our souls as if she had no clue that we even ordered. "Oh sorry" she says. "I'll check on the kitchen". Over 20 minutes go by and WE'RE STILL EMPTY. Finally, we demand a manager. He comes by and ask "how's it going?". With no plate in front of me, I could only chuckle in despair. We explained the situation and he says he'll check on the kitchen. At this point, the remaining starving individuals have canceled the orders. He comes back out and apologized of course and offered us some dessert on the house and promised to take "a little something" off the bill. After about 15 minutes, the kitchen returns with TWO desserts that we had to SHARE... BETWEEN 8 PEOPLE... "CHECK PLEASE". The bill comes out to $433. We scour the bill to look for our "little something" in return and to my surprise, I see 60 dollars in gratuity. FOR WHAT? I didn't eat. Two of my friends didn't eat. And we were supposed to get a discount which was so small it was disrespectful. We paid the money because we're gentlemen but trust me, if you want to actually get a meal, try someplace else. 1 star because I can't rate lower. I would post a picture of my food but... But hey, the...
