Durante la nostra vacanza a New York la mia famiglia e io avevamo il desiderio di assistere ad una messa gospel ad Harlem. Dopo aver letto qualche commento abbiamo deciso per questa cattedrale, attirati anche dal nome dato che pochi mesi fa abbiamo percorso il cammino di Santiago. L’accoglienza è stata calorosissima, ci hanno fatto accomodare sulle panche tra i fedeli e non in un palco separato come fanno quasi tutte le altre chiese. La funzione è stata molto coinvolgente e toccante, i canti gospel bellissimi, e quando ce ne stavamo per andare molti fedeli sono venuti a salutarci di persona per invitarci un giorno a ritornare.
