This place is famous for its huge portions, but you will also pay a huge price tag. About 1.75-2x the amount of a normal priced one, but , for double the size. This is their biggest attraction. I have ordered from Uber Eats about 4 times. At first I was happy with my order, wow, so huge! And tastes like a 5.5/10. But this effect has worn off and I have come to realize I am just paying normal price, but I am buying a huge hero, so I am getting a small discount. Otherwise, their #0-200 named heroes are nothing special. I have found their proscuitto balls, for $1.50 to be their best item for the uniqueness and price and taste. But, this place would be a 3/5 if not for my last order. I have asked for a fork and napkins and a comment to make my order of 17 prosciutto balls, to be fresh ( hopefully). I got my 17, 1.25 inch (diameter) cheese, meat and breaded balls, but I did not get my napkins, a fork to eat them with (instead of my hands) and let's forget about the fresh part, it seemed okay. If I remember, correctly, this place also, did not include utensils when I asked, last time, on uber. Maybe an Italian Theme place hires illegal workers who speak no english to save on their cost and maybe this place use to be good and now is just okay? Maybe the owner is trying to save money and time by laughing at small utensil , asks. But, what I know is, this place is nothing special and does not deserve its reputation of being good and special. Maybe it use to be, I am not sure. But I can tell you in...
Read moreI ordered through Ubereats as usual, & ordered a sandwich that was not a buy 1 get 1 free sandwich today because it is so delicious & as a long time dedicated customer who supported this place over the years (THOUSANDS OF $$) I wanted to show my GRATITUDE for the great food made here. BUT, In the "Order Notes" I very politely asked as I alway do: "Please Give Napkins" Thank You !🥰.
But I GOT ZERO NAPKINS!
WHY? Did the guy taking the order not know how to read english? Did they run out of napkins? (I doubt it.)
This should Not have happened but IT HAPPENS ALLOT!!! I am Disabled & dont go out to buy napkins all the time & I rely on my food orders to give napkins when they give the Option to recieve napkins.
Especially when Im spending over $30.00 They should throw in a few napkins like 99% of other sandwich shops do as a regular practice.
ALSO, The 2 drinks were WARM & the plastic bag had no water in it as if the drinks were put in the bag cold & were sweating water off the bottles but they were not.
The photos of the store inside show a beverage refridgerator, so my drinks were pulled from storage stock?
I think I will take a break from buying here, I need to enjoy the full experience of good food & good service as I used to elsewhere.
I wonder how mhch 1 napkin cost if I buy a case...
Read moreVery disappointed in Lioni's to say the least. My fiance and I have been regular weekend customers going on two years, as we visit my parents in Brooklyn. We even had Lioni's cater our engagement party. The past few months, we've noticed a dramatic decline in the portion of meat in their sandwiches. It's understandable to a degree with rising costs due to inflation. Well today we ordered two sandwiches (#111, Leo Dicaprio) for lunch on our way to my parents. We were shocked to find out that each sandwich had a grand total of 1 slice of roast beef, 1 slice of fried eggplant, a thin sliver of mozarella cheese, and some roasted tomato and balsamic vinegrette for $21 per sandwich. We lost our appetite eating such a sorry sandwich. The atmosphere and service also leaves a lot to be desired as well. We waited five minutes before we were addressed by a high schooler, who had no discernable experience in customer service, to take our order. He was working the cashier and kitchen at the same time. Simultaneously, there were two other children running around in the kitchen and all the staff were busy chitchatting. What a fall from grace for Lioni's. We won't be spending another dollar at this establishment with such dishonest business practices and blatant disregard for...
