Response to the owner: Why would you mark the order ready for delivery if you did not have all the items. As a restaurant you 100% have the capability of marking an item unavailable which will then notify the customer in the app giving them an option to sub or cancel. Your responses to all of the reviews that have expressed dissatisfaction with your services is combative and dismissive which speaks volumes to your professionalism. And yes I got my lil $20 back but just know word of mouth can make or break a business.
Two things I hate is greed and dishonesty. Placed an order via Uber eats, then was contacted shortly by the restaurant shortly after to inform me that one of the items I ordered was unavailable. Okay no problem, just cancel out that item or the entire order. The restaurant refused, proceeded to mark my order ready for delivery and told me I would need to contact ubereats to inform them. YOU ARE THE RESTAURANT, why am I going out of my way to contact support about an order you canât fulfill! The worker continued to gaslight me saying they donât have the capability of canceling out orders which is a BOLD FACE LIE. Any time a restaurant is unable to fulfill they have the capability of reporting that through the app/tablet/pos system. They refused to contact support and left it to me to handle. I took time off of my JOB to do theirs and of course uber eats customer service is incompetent and told me there is nothing they can do itâs the restaurant responsibility to report and notify them. The worker must have thought he was speaking to an idiot because I know they have the capability of canceling an order however they didnât want to be charged or have adverse action on their account so thatâs why they wanted me the customer to cancel so they can keep the profit. I hope $20 was worth it. I will NEVER in my life order from here again. I told every driver that kept being assigned to my order to not pick it up and eventually the order cancelled out by the system. Uber FAQ clearly shows restaurants can cancel an order. Letâs use our common sense here people, you telling me if you are unable to fulfill an order you canât cancel? So what will the driver pick up an empty plastic...
   Read morePlace is pretty quiet and is a good place to enjoy your meal. Is a hidden gem. But ox tails says is 13$ online but when i walk in the business it was 16$. Not much big of a deal with that since the portion of the food is good and the flavor really amazing.
The only thing that i dint quite enjoy.
Was the hospitality.
They were sort of rude to me. And while taking my order made me feel uncomfortable Imagine standing there watching them cater and make sure they got everybody else's order so they just dont stand on the line.
And you. Have to wait 10 minutes before taking you order. And as soon other people walk in. They go quick as lighting taking their orders making sure they are alright.
I only got 3 sweet platain chips and the cabbage was so little. I barely got to taste it. Because they gave us the left over cabbage and sweet platain
Also i ask the food the eat here. But he anyways pack it to go. so i sat down to eat my food.
So where i sit to eat right by the tv there is a camera.
Once i sat down to eat my food the camera lighted up the flash in the security cameras flashing right where im sitting eating my food
But i felt very unwelcome.
I come from the caribbean as well im born and raised from my island as well.
My companion is white skin. But still was born and raise in the Caribbean english not her first language
But i definitely felt like i was a white man walking to a black mans bbq. And the face was like who invited thisâŠâŠâŠ
I liked the food but i dont know i come back since i really felt unwelcome here
Also is messed up the treatment i got there Not justify or asking for privileges
But in my own world i walked 2.1 miles from my house because the guy does not deliver to my area.
So i walk there and im tired and just trying order and have some food. And that treatment kind of killed my appetite
Im pretty sure any other man of color wouldnât have this problem....
   Read moreToday is Thanksgiving and I am grateful for life. However, super DISAPPOINTED with Luckyâs restaurant. Iâm unable to fly into town and spent the holiday with my aging aunt. I called and ordered two breakfast for my aunt, two dinners, two Sorrel, two Mauryâs. Paid with my credit card and received my bill of almost $80.00 just to ensure my aunt has a delicious meal for thanking. Lucky said the meal will be delivered at 12pm. When I called he said my aunt wasnât home but will be delivered 4PM since they would be closed today. Trusting that the services/food I orders would be delivered for her and Iâm excited. Today, calling with excitement my aunt has no thanksgiving meal. Luckyâs restaurant NEVER even delivers one meal. They are closed today. I am out of town, paid few dollars short of $80.00 and no food. I am extremely âDISAPPOINTED.â What makes it worse, my aunt is a regular customer so he knows her and yet this huge let down. No one called to even say there was a problem and to make a rearrangement. Will NOT use Luck again. I will need a full refund...
