Malina’s Kitchen — Restaurant in New York

I called this establishment with genuine interest in exploring an African dish, only to be met with an ill-mannered response. Over the phone, a woman staff member told me to “grow up and stop being childish”—a completely inappropriate reaction to a simple, respectful inquiry.

The background noise during the call was overwhelming, which may have contributed to a to her poor comprehension skills. However, that does not excuse the condescending tone or lack of professionalism. Customer Service 101: manners matter, especially when representing a culturally rooted culinary space.
