Terrible place. This place sells garbage food literally for the garbage can. I ordered Taiwanese popcorn chicken and it was old and brown and refried. The meat was already dried and hard. I had to throw away. And also the toast with condensed milk was nothing like the picture shown on the menu. It wasn’t even toasted. They just gave me a plain white bread. The lady who spoke English there was so rude and disrespectful and kept on arguing that that’s the way their toast is just a plain cold white bread, (then why put a toasted bread pic and not just a plain white bread on the menu) and made excuse that I didn’t asked to be toasted. Well they should have asked me since it should be toasted anyway like on the menu. Don’t even know how to make toast with condensed milk and have it on the menu (and have the nerve to make excuse and argue). Just put a little condensed milk on a cold, white bread and gave it to me. Who wants that anyway? and for $2? And won’t let me exchange or refund. Wasted my money just to put in the trash. Never go there again. And never think that overly priced foods from Chinese stores means good quality, it just means greed! They could care less about giving you good quality, fresh foods. They just...
Read moreMy sister introduced me to this place yesterday. I chung fun with fish balls, and OMG, let me tell you! BEST, like da best chung fun and sauce I have ever had, anywhere in all of NYC, including Manhattan and Queens.
The sauce that comes with the Chung fun and fish balls, as is the chung fun is hands down, the BEST! It was only after the fact did my sister tip me in on getting the dried shrimp chung fun next time, but ask for the sauce combo that comes with the chung fun and fish balls.
I also had their soy milk too, with a tiny bit of sugar, and again, OMG, THE BEST ever!! So delicious. Reminds me of really good soy milk I had in Dalat Vietnam. Those of you that's ever been to Dalat know what I'm talking about, the mecca of good eats and super fresh and healthy too. Yum! I'd come back just for the food mentioned...
Read moreThis place used to be so cool. They had comic books, free-Wi-Fi, and you could hang out and relax with friends or your kids. They had some of the best pastries I had seen. We used to love hanging out there.
This last time I went they re arranged the place. The pastry selection is more limited, the comic books are gone, and now they won’t even let you use the bathroom.
To make it worse the staff are rude and dismissive. And it’s not because the language barrier. You don’t need to speak the same language to see when someone legitimately wants to help you and when they don’t care.
I won’t be going there again. I found a bakery next to the fire station and they seem to be a lot less stuck up and...
