When I lived in Japan, I knew many cafés that were clean, beautifully designed, served great coffee and baked goods, and used elegant tableware. I’ve missed that in NY, where such places are surprisingly rare. But this café has it all—plus an excellent music selection, friendly NY-style short talks with the staff, and a layout that lets you focus when you need to work.
It’s already a popular local spot, but thanks to its clever design, it maintains a hidden-gem atmosphere despite the buzz. If you prefer independent coffee shops where the brew varies slightly depending on who makes it, rather than mass-produced chains, you’ll love this place. Their original cup design fits perfectly in your hand, so I recommend staying in rather than getting your coffee to go.
There are three seating areas: a bright counter facing the street, bench seats where laptops are allowed (check with the café for time restrictions), and a cozy sofa area with an art gallery. Each space attracts people with different needs, creating a comfortable vibe. Interestingly, the music selection changes depending on where you sit.
The staff is super friendly—I looked forward to seeing them again after my first visit. And don’t be misled by reviews saying the food costs $10–$20 per item. They have croissants and scones, and I tried the cheese scone—it...

Read moreIt is a fantastic, cute, and friendly place to hang out with friends, colleagues, and relatives. Hubby mentioned the place to me, and I told him I'd check it out when the place started opening. He spoke with the owner, Mario, who was super nice. I stopped by to get my pumpkin latte prepared by Amanda. The pastries finish early here, so make sure you grab a bite. I had to return to get my croissant. There are plenty of seats outside, inside, and back. The back area is a lounge where you sit and don't get up because the seats are too comfortable! I returned to try a different latte, the Golden latte made by Agent. I heard the name Agent, but I could be wrong. I listen well but don't hear very well lol, so pardon me. I loved the Golden Latte! It's less caffeine with some spices. Both ladies who prepared my lattes are fantastic! Come by and say hello and get some latte! Everyone's friendly and ready to help with your favorite drinks, caffeine or decaf, pumpkin or mocha, chocolate or vanilla, etc. Excellent place...
