Dining at Soleluna was an unforgettable experience, warm, welcoming, and bursting with authentic Italian charm. From the moment we stepped in, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food they were serving. It’s rare to find a place where hospitality and quality walk so perfectly hand in hand. We were pleasantly surprised to be greeted with free bread, a thoughtful touch, and honestly, not bad at all. A simple start, but it set the tone for what was to come. To begin, we had the Carpaccio di carne, a beautifully presented appetizer of thinly sliced raw filet mignon served with arugula, cherry tomatoes, and shaved Parmigiano. The flavors were bold and rich, though for my personal taste, the dish would’ve been even better without the Parmesan. The meat was already perfectly seasoned, and while the salad on top added freshness, the cheese pushed the saltiness a little too far. Still, a lovely dish with tons of character. The grilled octopus on mashed potatoes was an absolute standout, tender, perfectly grilled, and paired with the creamiest mashed potatoes. It was both rustic and refined, and the seasoning was spot-on. Our main course, the Trofie al pesto, was exceptional. The handmade twisted pasta had the perfect bite, and the basil pesto sauce was fresh, aromatic, and deeply flavorful. You could taste the quality in every forkful, it’s a dish that makes you close your eyes just to savor the moment. To drink, we enjoyed the Lime Caipiriñha a bright, refreshing cocktail made with Cachaça, lime, sugar, and club soda. It was balanced and crisp, a perfect contrast to the richness of the meal. We finished with the pistachio chocolate gelato, which was smooth, decadent, and just the right amount of sweet. The pistachio flavor really came through and paired beautifully with the dark chocolate. Every dish (with the exception of the Parmesan-heavy carpaccio) was perfectly seasoned and flavored, showcasing the kitchen’s skill and respect for good ingredients. If you’re looking for a special night out, this place will not disappoint. We’ll definitely be back.

A splendid eatery with phenomenal food and fair prices. If you find yourself in Sunnyside, and you don't eat here, you're missing out. We started out with the meatballs as an appetizer. Usually I don't go for these since it seems a lot of restaurants order them premade. Not SoleLuna. The meatballs, as well as the sauce, tasted absolutely exquisite, with a well balanced acidity and flavor profile. We then enjoyed the baby spinach with mango salad. Be aware that the salads are larger, so you can definitely share. Then, we had the unique pleasure of eating the cheese and pear ravioli, and Oh. My. Gosh. It was an explosion of flavor. Be sure to cover the ravioli in the sauce that comes with it, you'll thank the chef. Finally, we rounded out with chicken as our secondi. The only critique I could offer is that the mashed potatoes that came with the chicken tasted like Spuds (boxed mashed potatoes), but overall the dish still worked well and was delicious.

I came here along with 4 other of my girlfriends and it was our first time. We were referred by another friend of ours. Our friend was not wrong when she mentioned this place is a really friendly, with a pleasant staff and great taste in food. My friends and I got different options but our favorite were their buttermilk pancakes! ( I promise you won’t find pancakes that taste better than theirs). I enjoyed steak and eggs along a side salad. It was okay in taste but I should have tried their pasta dishes (next time)! What I absolutely loved the most of this place aside from their VERY DELICIOUS AND FRUITFUL Pancakes were their staff. Everyone that served us were super nice, friendly and precautious at the same time! I can’t wait to go back for a pasta dish!!! Anyone looking for a great brunch experience in Sunnyside I recommend this spot!

Short review: Look no further, this is where you're going to eat for dinner.

Long review: This lovely Italian restaurant is a hidden gem in Sunnyside. We were greeted immediately after walking through the door. The restaurant is smaller, but cozy and warm. Upon entering we were handed menus, had drink orders taken, and were updated as we waited only 10 minutes to be seated. After we sat down, we were promptly greeted with a smile by our waiter, and brought fresh warm bread and oil. We ordered the fresh raw filet with cherry tomatoes, arugula, and lemon vinaigrette. It was delicious, fresh, and the perfect start to our meal. Between appetizers and our entrees we watched as the manager, who was also an excellent bartender, greeted each guest as they came in. We could tell there were a lot of regulars that have made this great Italian eatery a staple as a dinner destination. For our main course, we ordered the Trofie Al Pesto (with chicken) and one of the night's Specials, the Fettuccine with Lamb Ragu. The pasta for both dishes was fresh and tender. You can tell this pasta is homemade. The Trofie Al Pesto was light with a delicious basil pesto tossed throughout the pasta. The grilled chicken was tender and juicy and was an excellent addition to the pasta. The Fettuccine with Lamb Ragu was amazing! The pasta was fresh and tender and the sauce was to die for. If no one was around, I think I might have licked the plate clean. After our entrees we ordered a strawberry mousse for dessert. The mousse was light, fluffy, and very creamy and rich. It was topped with fresh blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries. I think my girlfriend and I should have each gotten our own because by the end we were scraping the last little bit out with our fingers it was so good. Finally, no Italian meal would be complete without a shot of Limoncello, which was delicious and complimentary. Overall, this restaurant, the atmosphere, food, service, and prices were amazing. If this restaurant were in midtown, they could easily charge triple what they are for the quality of food and friendly warm service that you'll experience at Sole Luna. We highly, highly recommend you eat here, you certainly will...

Mothers day I know its packed and busy. Im sure restaurant is aware about it also. First of our table was dirty. Then I asked the server if I could get my mixed vegies steamed instead of sauted and he said he cant do it. First restaurant ever ive heard that customer has no choice. Then took our orders without writting it down. So the server came back and asked us again what sides we wanted. Then our food took wayyy than an hour. We got our food plates were super cold. Food also super cold! Then I ordered the red snapper, full of bones!!! My mother ordered lamb chops with mix vegies. Lamb was cold! On top of that the kid guy server went for a smoke break and it was right outside few steps from where we were seated, outdoor tables. He came back went straight to clean the table. Grabbed napkins and table utensils then served food to the table WITHOUT WASHING HANDS OR SANITIZER. GROSS!!! VERY DISAPPOINTING FOR A FIRST TIMER AT THIS PLACE. HOWEVER, the lady manager showed her concern, gave us a free sweets and apologized for the bad food they served. Heard lots of good words about this place but today... today shouldnt be any different from yesterday. No consistency! Servers, they knew we have been waiting for our food for so long. Serverd passed by us look at our table but theyre not concerned?! No had said anything to us while waiting for our food. No smiles, no hi hellos, nothing!!! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO...
