I was excited to find out as a fellow Salvadoreña that there was a restaurant not too far from me. Being that I've grown up on authentic Salvadorean food, and my family had an extremely successful restaurant for 15+ years...I know my pupusas and tamales. I was very happy with my experience here. The staff was friendly and everything was fresh. I had pupusas revueltas and my husband had shrimp and cheese in his. We both enjoyed them and they are not stingy with the cheese, which is key! The Cortido (cabbage topping for pupusas) was decent. The salsa was a little watery for me but wasn't bad. Not a deal breaker. We also had a tamal de pollo. Good flavor, would order again. One of my absolute favorite restaurants in Brooklyn! I will happily commute an hour each way—just to eat here. That’s how worth it this place is.
The pupusas are always hot, fresh, and full of flavor, and the rice and beans? So simple but so delicious. My partner and I always get the jalapeño & cheese and bean & cheese pupusas with extra slaw—it’s the kind of meal that makes you feel taken care of.
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Everyone is so sweet and welcoming! And the owner, Lorenzo genuinely cares—he goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect, and if there’s ever a small mix-up, he’ll fix it with such kindness and professionalism.
Can’t recommend it enough....

They didn’t skimp on the cheese either! The only thing I wish could change would be to make the pupusas larger! The curtido spicy pickled cabbage here is really really good and the salsa taste authentically El Salvadorian. The tacos were good and the tamale had a really pleasant texture a little more fluffy and less dense than Mexican Tamales. If you are in Flatbush this is a perfect spot to get...
