It is a typical Chinese bakery like you would find in Brooklyn in that it is small and quaint. You go in to make a quick stop and just grab and go.
Good to see an official Chinese bakery on the island. While it gives good initial impression being modern looking, something about it feels a bit lacking.
Shelves are a bit sparse overall. I'm not sure if this is because I visited at noon times or not. This is unfortunately emphasized by the fact that there is a large display case in the middle of the shop with barebone offerings.
Add to this the fact there is no table space with any seating for customers and the result is a somewhat unwelcoming atmosphere. It doesn't give anyone a reason to stay in the shop one second longer than needed to pick up something.
The general mood from the employees do not really help the situation either. It feels like they are just there to watch customers or their phones as that's what happened when I was there. I'm not a snob on customer service but if other areas are lacking (product and atmosphere), I think the employees should try to engage with customers so they don't walk out the door never to return.
The whole vibe is a bit awkward as the counter ladies are completely silent and disengaged until you ring up an item. This is only the case because the shop is so small, so the fact they kind of ignore you makes the whole interaction feel a bit cold.
I do hope they stick around, but...

The Japanese cheese cakes was unforgettable as it was soft, fluffy and spongy and very light- goes well with a nice cup of their homemade coffee made to perfection. My friends also had their grapefruit drink which was so refreshing. Another amazing drink was a crushed honey lemon tea drink which was one of kind..they smashed the lemons perfectly to have the right amount of lemon taste and the sweetness form the honey and bitterness of the tea just blended the whole drink to perfection. All in all we had a great experience and also would go back and try the many other selections they have but you have to get there early, they run out very fast!! One more thing I would go back is for the many cake selections they have..they are beautifully made. Just could not get enough...
Read moreFreshly opened bakery. Here for soft opening! They just opened yesterday. So new, nothing on shelves. However… so good that people are ordering straight off the oven racks. 😂 Great service, clean space, great attitude. Got these four pastries for approximately $7. Definitely get your moneys worth. No need to go to Brooklyn or Manhattan Chinatown for these classic Asian bakery items anymore. Everything is made in house.
Has easy parking too. The parking lot is shared with a few other fabulous eateries that are also worth...
