Like many, I was super excited to have a natural mini market open within walking distance of my home. I had been in this market several times and was happy with the selection and the service. That was until last week. I went in the store last week to order on omelet. I asked the disgruntled man behind the counter for an omelet with Turkey bacon and American cheese. He asked me what kind of omelet I wanted. I was confused because I had just told him the type of omelet I wanted. I repeated my order, and the gentleman began to "school" me on what exactly on omelet was. Aside from the fact that he was wrong, I repeated my order. He gave me whatever he wanted and I left. I went in today, and the same disgruntled man was behind the counter. I stood there for a minute waiting for him to acknowledge me. He then came to the counter, took his headphones out of his ear, and begrudgingly asked me what I wanted. I repeated the same order from last week. And the we had the same disagreement. His unwillingness to just give me what I ordered and his innate need to "school" me incorrectly caused me to say "forget it." I grabbed my coffee and left.
So here's the thing, I will NEVER go back to this store again (and neither will anyone I know) simply because the man behind the deli counter is rude, condescending, and unaware that the customer is always right. All he had to do was give me what I wanted. I guess I wasn't the type of customer he wanted to serve this morning, because he was quite pleasant to others, but I digress. Nonetheless, I won't be going back there. If I am supporting your business, the very least you can do for me is be nice. So while the store itself and its contents are appealing, I will not go back because the service is disappointing, to say the least. I would give less than 1 star if I could, because service is of the utmost importance to me; they fail in this category. But good luck; you would fare better by getting rid of the guy behind the service counter...he...
Read moreThis place opened up a while ago and I was hesitant to support it because I was afraid it was a sign of gentrification. Since then though I have become a supporting customer and I always leave happy. The guys running the place are always friendly and fast and its stayed immaculately clean since its opened. The selection here is a touch finer than the average bedstuy fair and yet things feel reasonably and fairly priced. Again the selection of products are great, as are the deli sandwiches and I’m always happy...
Read moreI think natural mini market here translates to a 7-eleven with slightly more options, but triple the price. The cashier forgot to give us our eggs (but this can be equated to the fact that he was on the phone the entire time we interacted), sold us expired Nutella that had fungus growing on the top, and proceeded to over charge us by $7 dollars after explicitly telling us the total. Do not go unless you have the salary...
