Naz's Halal Food - Staten Island — Restaurant in New York

We love ordering delivery from this place. Food has always been great. Today we decided to order in store. When we walked in the lady at the register was facing the kitchen chatting with another 2 workers where they were both facing us. After we came in (we were the only customers), the 2 workers that were facing us saw us BUT they did not tell the register girl there are customers here. They continue to chat for a good MINUTE until 1 of the guy told the lady there is customer there. She turned around did NOT apologize for ignoring us. There was also no THANK YOU at all. If I were the owner I would definitely fix this. How can you continue to chat when customers walk in and you just completed ignore them. Let them stand there watching the workers continue to chat when they noticed you are there standing ready to order. This is so beyond unprofessional. It is very disrespectful. I just don’t understand how can business allow their workers to behave this way and it’s okay. Why do these workers even think it’s okay to treat their customers this way. PURPOSELY ignore and disrespect customers!! Not to mention we order chicken and rice, there was only maybe 5% chicken and 90% of rice WHEN online order we normally get 25-30% chicken. I am NOT sure if I even want to place online order from this place ever again just for the experience...

Be Careful, Be Careful, Be Careful for your order. This restaurant is disappointing for the customers in my opinion.

I’m not writing this to heart the business. I’m trying to pay the owners attention so they can fix this issue. Also it is good reference and awareness for the customers.

I ordered many times from this restaurant as Delivery or Pick up and most of the times they put a small amount of rice even though it is stated to put enough decent amount of rice as simple instructions in the delivery app comments section but they ignore it on purpose.

Imagine that you pay around 30$ including the delivery fees for 2 plates then you get a small portion as one plate divided on both plates.

You can get chicken over rice with decent amount of rice from anywhere in New york City with waaay cheaper than their price and offers.

Be careful and check your order amount before you leave the store or before the delivery guy leave.

Hopefully they address the issue and solve it soon.

In Case they didn’t fix this issue. My comment is remaining here so customers don’t feel the ripoff like what happened with me most...

Never again in my life I’ve ordered from this place a bunch of times through delivery and it was fine. The food was mediocre but good enough to order again. I go in person to place an order and the experience I had was absolutely horrid The rude man behind the counselor tells my friend to speak up, even though he was talking perfectly normal. That was the first red flag Then as we’re talking and making conversation privately, the employee wants to say hey, can you keep your conversation down? This is a Halal place and we respect allah Don’t get me wrong. I’m all for religious freedom. After all we do live in America however, if I want to have a private conversation with my friend, I should be able to do so independently without facing repercussions from some mediocre food worker. Also, the tables were dirty. The floors need to be mopped. That was my first time 7 foot in the establishment and I could say I don’t wanna place another...
