New Oriental House — Restaurant in New York

Been coming here for almost 2 years. Prior to covid there was plenty of seating inside. Not cramped and very spacious. I’m sure they used to have a buffet option before too.

The food taste as fresh as it can for fast food. I get the tofu with broccoli and it’s delicious. Surprisingly not every Chinese restaurant has tofu and they do!! The front counter lady is lovely and works hard. I’ve never had an order mix up. Pricing is what you expect for Chinese food.

They deliver , you can call in order to pickup or dine in. Well in the case of covid there are seats outside. It’s nice that they have the option as a lot of places in this area don’t. The counter is now fully sealed off so you don’t have close contact. I really like the “covid” set up they have lol.

Only thing I don’t like is they won’t ring your bell or come upstairs for delivery. They just call, not great for anyone who doesn’t pay attention to their phone. Not a deal breaker though as I often call to pickup

The website seems all good, but don't let that or the prices fool you. The customer service is absolutely terrible. I called to let them know that their website was trying to charge tax twice only to get yelled at by the person that answered the phone that they don't deliver to my address (their website allowed me to place the order so yes you clearly do, you just don't want to in the cold (is 30° feels like 22°), so just tell me you don't deliver to my address in the cold). I tried explaining that the tax is trying to get charged twice only to get yelled at again that they don't deliver to my address so it doesn't matter, then was rudely hung up on. I had my husband call them back to explain to them again that they should fix their website, only for them to yell at him too.

Would highly recommend NOT EVER coming or ordering delivery from this restaurant. Let us join together and let this place...

I ordered my 4 pieces of chicken wings cut and half with French fries with alot of barbecue sauce all over it and they talking about I order my chicken wings with fried rice when I know what I ordered so they gave me the wrong order and now they don't want to make me another one and they talking about they won't give me my $13.34 cents back that I PA with my card online for my food they are bad service and they talking about next time they not going to serve me and they talking about I got to look at my receipt online and I did it does not show what I ordered it only shows the chicken wings and the 2 liter soda that I got with my order so they better come correct and fix...
