Had a horrible experiece here last night and feel compelled to leave this review. The bouncers at this bar are possibly the rudest and nastiest people I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. As someone who has visited this bar on multiple occasions, this time really takes the cake for worst bar experience of my life. I was trying to enjoy a nice night with my friends and was rudely removed from the bar after taking a single sip of my girlfriends drink to see if I should order it for myself (this is after having bought and paid for two drinks of my own and leaving a nice tip for the bartender each time). The bouncer then harassed me and I responded as politely as possible, even telling one of my friends to make sure that he didn’t take a sip out of his girlfriends drink out of fear that he would face the same punishment. I think that anyone could have made this honest mistake and it was completely mishandled by the OSP bouncers/staff. I was then forcibly removed from the bar on the night of my girlfriends birthday to the embarrassment of my friends and myself. I’ve never been thrown out of any place in my entire life and was honestly disgusted that any establishment could get away with treating a customer like that. Oh and the bouncer at the door was nasty, as well. While the behavior of these two men may not reflect this establishment as a whole, an owner should always know that those individuals who work under them are the face of their business, and last night OSP showed quite an ugly face. It’s safe to say that neither my friends nor I will be visiting this bar anytime soon until these bouncers...
Read moreBelow average food, below average service, seemingly high price for what you get. The brunch menu was designed with a younger clientele in mind and I like that. Modern takes on classic brunch = win 9 out of 10 times. Ordered corn beef and hash with fried eggs fried potatoes and greens. Hash was bland and overcooked, greens werent dressed, eggs bland and overcooked, I like my eggs over easy...hell I would order Sunnyside up if they would let me but I wasn't even asked. Potatoes were bland and undercooked. Obviously they are par cooked and reheated. Meh :/. My drink was all mixer no liquor and a ton of ice. I can tell from my many years in the industry that the new owners care deeply about this place but will probably let the inmates run the prison till they are forced to micromanage everything and burn themselves out. I counted 4 ALE violations in the hour I was there. The one time I peeked in the kitchen I saw someone behind the line on their cell. Multiple non-uniformed people in and out of the back of the house. These red flags usually mean this place is on a 2 to 5 year countdown till closing. This place is a few tweaks away from being good but for this area with the amount of competition around you only get one...
Read moreOn behalf of The Center for the Women of New York, I want to extend a huge thank you to One Station Plaza for their incredibly generous and high quality donation to our Taste of the World at Fort Totten gala.
They provided a delicious penne alla vodka and beef meatballs that were truly exceptional. The penne alla vodka was creamy and rich with a perfectly balanced tomato flavor. But the real star was the meatballs. They were incredibly generous with real meat and had very little breadcrumb filler, which gave them a robust, hearty flavor and fantastic texture that our guests truly appreciated. It was clear that quality is a top priority for them.
It is because of dedicated local businesses like One Station Plaza that we are able to successfully raise vital funds for our mission of supporting women in the New York community. Their commitment to using high quality ingredients while giving back shows a true dedication to their customers and their community, and it is exactly why I will continue to support businesses like theirs.
We highly recommend One Station Plaza for their outstanding food, generous portions, and tremendous heart. Thank you for your kindness and for making our event...
