Oriental Plaza — Restaurant in New York

First time here. So many recommendations off of fb in a group formed with residents who live in Staten Island. Restaurant is VERY OUTDATED. Needs major upgrade. Food wasn't so good. Only thing that was delicious was the shrimp and broccoli, ribs and the spring rolls. Fried chicken wings were freshly fried which was great but had no seasoning what so ever and there was to much batter on the chicken. My boyfriend ate them. The general tso chicken had way to much batter and the vegetable fried Rice smelled spoiled and was way too soft. We told the waiter and he told us they sell alot of the general tso chicken and they pay so much for it so for it to be thrown away wasn't good. Wouldn't go back here again to dine in. I would just take the ribs and shrimp and broccoli to go. The alcohol drinks were very strong and good. The sushi was also good as an appetizer. Older crowd in there 50's and up. According to the reviews, this restaurant is good but today, Mother's Day, it was a unmitigated disaster. Even with reservations to anticipate the crowd they could not handle the day. The wait staff was advising what dishes to order because it would take too long.The restaurant didn't have enough menus for our table. Our food was brought out cool and our entrees were served at different times, a 45" difference from the first entree to the last. Before we asked for the bill they were requesting to borrow a chair for another table. To top off our dinner, the wait staff cleared off our table completely after several request for the bill. I called Oriental Plaza today and ordered the Peking Duck one order of small spare ribs on the bone and one salmon avocado roll. They told me it would take 20 minutes I arrived there in 10 minutes the food was ready. I drove another 8 minutes back to our home. The Peking Duck was overcooked well done shoe leather. The spare ribs were well done and dried out. The salmon avocado roll was warm. Salmon is not supposed to be warm. The color of the salmon one side of it was pink the other side was a darker color it had been out for a while. The only thing that was good were the fortune cookies. I will never order again from this Chinese restaurant. If I could give it zero...
