Came in tonight for dinner what can I say about this place I usually go to avocado sushi on hylan blvd which is much much better the service is so much better and the staff their is much nicer. came in had to wait 10 min to be seated when there was about 6 empty tables, but the place had about 7 tables which has people eating at but why was there only one very very very rude waitress she looked like she hated her job so much. so when we sat down we waited 15 min to get our order taken then finally she took our order and everything the food was okay it wasn't terrible the prices are fair pretty affordable that wasn't really the big deal the main issue here os the disgusting service that we got and how she had an attitude every time we needed something she was barely checking on us and mind you a little flea landed in my food which was kinda gross so ill be reporting that to the health department. the deserve which was the fried ice cream wasn't really that good. when we needed spicy mayo we told her and she had the nerve to yell at us saying "I GOT IT" well we need to eat it with the sushi not eat it when its almost done so when she gave us our check we are suppose to ask for it she came and handed it to us which made us feel like she wanted us to leave mind you I was a manager at a restaurant for about 7 years so I know how this business works. never give the customer their check unless they ask for it. so then we paid we were getting ready to leave shes like oh we didn't put your drinks it was about 3 cans of seltzer which was $6.50 so I had told her that rude to come up to us as were getting ready to leave and make us pay again because thats her mistake not ours usually win my place it was just water I let it go like doesn't matter yeah maybe she has to pay for it but you pay for your mistakes remember that but im not complaining about paying for it im complaining about her mistakes if she cant handle being on the floor on her own maybe this job isn't for her or maybe they should have 2 waitresses take one side of the place and one takes another sad to say I will not be returning and I will continue to go avocado sushi on hylan where I can pay little more but be happy and get...
Read moreI do not recommend this place at all. Firstly I called before arrival and the hostess told me that there was a lunch special. Upon ordering things changed. She told me there is no lunch special and they do not have one never did. I made it clear that I called first and was confirmed on the matter. Secondly, I get told by both the waitress and hostess that “the one roll I wanted doesn’t come in the lunch “,special which every sushi place has the same and is usually included but somehow it wasn’t here . So I chose to look on the menu and noticed that the rolls except for eel avocado do not come with avocado like they do in other places. In short going further there was more topics that came up while ordering that made me feel like I was being played with prices and food items . I even got charged extra for avocado to a roll that everywhere else comes with avocado . Mind u all three rolls I wanted were regular rolls. Which are usually 5 dollars and change . And I still tip 15% percent cause I know it’s not there fault but the person who created the menu . Mind u even though I had to drop one of the rolls. So I do not recommend at all and guys I’m literally the easiest customer to please but the feeling I got of being a-little messed with got me to do this for the...
Read moreWow, I really love this place. Honestly, I'm surprised that they aren't getting to many costumers. This is a great place if you are looking for some awesome Japanese cuisine. Out of the many sushi restaurants in Staten Island, this is a personal preference. Let me take on a Sapporo Sushi adventure. First, we start off with a nice hot towel to clean your hands. It isn't moderately warm, it's very hot. Then, I would get a tea, my choice would be brown rice green tea, which is very soothing, which its smell and all. Then I'd probably get some miso soup, which is really good, except for the time I burned my tongue with the soup, but that was my fault. The chicken teriyaki udon noodles are very tasty, with a lot of flavor. The dragon and California rolls are very good, also. This is a very good place if it's a Friday and you want to eat somewhere nice. The dark and quiet environment just adds to the perfectness of this place. The service is actually not bad at all, in fact, I go there so often that the waitresses know me personally. The prices are reasonable. And one of my favorite parts is... when they give us coffee candy with...
