With love and understanding, please take the shrimp and grits off the menu. This is a crime against humanity. An atrocity. My friend called it "egregious." And I should have known better than to order it, as someone from the south. Oh, how naive I was.

I'm not sure what the gummy, mushy mess was that was served to me, but it wasn't grits. First of all, they were surrounded by a curious, watery liquid. Automatic cause for concern. But I took one tiny bite of them anyway. The texture was incomprehensibly wrong -- like paste -- and they tasted of nothing. Nothing. Hot water.

The bacon? Also an automatic red flag. Who wants wet, soggy bacon? What happened here?

I took one bite of shrimp. It tasted of nothing. There was no seasoning on it that I could discern either visually or through my tastebuds.

In fact I think the sprinkling of pepper visible on the egg was genuinely the only seasoning that touched any of the ingredients on this plate before it reached me.

This is a public service announcement: do not order this. Doubly so if you are from the south or have ever enjoyed a good shrimp and grits in your life. And to the owners: Why? Why. Take it away. Put it to bed. Bury it. I'm begging you. End this nonsense.

Anyway. Server was nice and attentive. Cocktails were good. Onion rings rocked. The pancakes I got to replace this monstrosity were fine. Would come here again for the onion rings, if at all.

Edit: Oh wow, the business owner got me! I just donated the cost of this dish+ ($25) to the Sameer Project for tents. What percentage of the proceeds from this dish are you...

I have walked past this spot many times while meaning to try it and I finally did, and it did not disappoint.

First you have multiple choices of either seating at the bar or right outside or the main outdoor seating. There's more than one TV (I did not pay attention to how many in total), and there's an arcade game (2).

I did not go through all of the menu, as I am still getting used to hanging out in this pandemic. So as soon as I saw a pilsner that I was interested in, I went to it. There seems to be a variety of choices of drinks to choose from and I'll pay more attention to that on my next visit (yes, I'll be back!)

My only gripe is the restroom, takes a little getting used to the design. Not my favorite. Other than it, I liked the bartender, style and decor of this joint, and the environment. So I'll recommend this spot. It's definitely going to be my new...

Talk about a hidden gem in Park Slope. My husband and I moved down the street from PSAH at the beginning of Covid when they were selling beer out of coolers and cocktails to go. We didn't know much of the place, or the neighborhood but we definitely knew that PSAH was going to be our local watering hole.

As the year went on, and when restaurants started opening back up, PSAH quickly became our daily hangout. We would drop by for a beer/drinks and when the kitchen opened we would sit outside and have some lunch/dinner. It was even the place we took our brand new daughter 34 hours after birth! I needed a Strawberry Fields!

The food - great! The drinks - great! The owner and staff? THE BEST!

We loved this little place so much. We have since moved back to Manhattan and miss it every day. Can't wait to go back soon when we visit...

Let there be brunch! I had no idea this place has had brunch. I have had most things on their regular menu, which does get updated every so often, but saw a sign for brunch yesterday. Like their regular menu, the brunch options are limited but boy do they all sound great. I got chilaquiles and they didn’t disappoint. The two eggs were cooked perfect and the green sauce was delicious with lots of spices and flavor. We also got the lemon ricotta pancakes. They had crispy areas, we soft, and had the right density. Very very tasty.

The place has old school/pub atmosphere and nice outdoor seating. The service was great. In terms of the food, the fried dishes were outstanding. The onion rings were light, fluffy, the fried pickles were crispy and the right proportion of batter to pickle. The chicken wings were crispy and juicy. I am very excited to try the fish and chips next time. The burger was just ok
