Newtown Barge Playground — Attraction in New York

Such a cute little park and waterfront promenade area! We're all in Quarantine now, but plenty of dogs out and a modest group of people enjoying the weather today. Nice playground with a great view of Manhattan and the East River. Walking lane, benches, dog walks, Frisbee throwers, soccer, bicycle, roller skaters. Plenty of benches to sit, relax and enjoy the Manhattan view. Sunbath or people watch. Locals, explorers and tourists alike gather here, especially the sunsets are just gorgeous from this side. Perfect park to relax or take a walk. There also are play areas for kids and adults. Great views of the NYC skyline and waterway. This time of year is a bit chilly so bring a sweater or light jacket. Restrooms are across the street in the park but not the cleanest. Parking is horrible since there is construction. If you want to shop or eat you have to go away...
