First Day at Pho Today Staten Island – Already a Favorite!
I had the pleasure of visiting Pho Today on Staten Island on their very first day, and I’m happy to say they’re off to a fantastic start. Having visited their other locations before, I was impressed by how consistent the food was—even on day one. While the Staten Island menu is a bit smaller than their larger locations, everything came out fast, hot, and absolutely delicious.
We started with a few appetizers: the spring rolls, summer rolls, and chicken wings. All were excellent, but the wings really stood out—the sauce had the perfect balance of sweet, sour, and just a touch of heat.
For entrées, we shared the beef rib pho, the kalbi beef rib rice platter, and the house pork chop platter. The beef rib pho is an absolute showstopper. For just $25, it’s a steal—you get two generous ribs, one meaty and tender, the other rich with thick, flavorful cartilage (it comes in two bowls!). It’s a seriously impressive pho, and it was clearly a hit—other diners around us were enjoying it too. No surprise it’s already a popular choice.
Everything was packed with flavor, but the lemongrass pork chop stole the show. It’s unbeatable—not just compared to other Vietnamese spots, but probably the best pork chop I’ve had anywhere.
We also tried two smoothies: mango and strawberry. Both were well blended, not overly sweet, and the perfect finish to the meal.
The service was outstanding and our server was friendly and helpful throughout the meal. His name was Felix and was very familiar with the menu and gave really good recommendations.
The location is super convenient, with plenty of parking in a plaza that also has an Aldi, Starbucks, and TJ Maxx—perfect for running errands before or after a great meal.
I highly recommend checking out Pho Today Staten Island. I’ll definitely be back soon—especially since my dad...

Just visited Pho Today, a brand-new Vietnamese restaurant in Staten Island, and it completely exceeded our expectations. We came in as a party of four and were blown away by the food, service, and overall experience—especially at such great prices.
The space is clean, modern, and welcoming, with a laid-back vibe that made us feel right at home. We started with crispy spring rolls, avocado summer rolls, and a beef jerky papaya salad—all incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. The papaya salad, in particular, had the perfect balance of tangy, savory, and sweet with a nice kick from the jerky.
For our main courses, we each ordered different types of pho, and every single bowl was outstanding. The broth was deeply rich and aromatic, clearly made with care, and the noodles, meats, and fresh herbs brought everything together perfectly.
The quality of the ingredients and attention to flavor really stood out, and considering the generous portions and top-notch presentation, the prices are a fantastic value—especially for New York.
If you’re in Staten Island and looking to try a new spot, Pho Today should be at the top of your list. It’s a fantastic addition to the local food scene, and our group is already planning a...
Read moreThere are several Vietnamese restaurants now on the Island and growing, i have tried several and was never satisfied as the food was more of fusion than authentic. Pho Today is new probably a month old, was hoping it would be decent as i hate going to Brooklyn or Jersey for good Vietnamese food. Happy to say it was really good. I had the Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup). Everyone gets the Pho, but if you like spicy you need to get this soup, its famous from North Vietnam. My dad had the Pho, being very picky since he served in Vietnam plus he married my mom, he knows everything about Vietnamese food. He was also surprised how much he liked the Pho. Like the Bun Bo Hue, the broth was very flavorful and they do not cheat you on the meat and bowl size portion is big. I also had Bahn Xeo (Vietnamese fried pancake with pork and shrimp). It was good, the portion is very big, it can be shared with 4 people. We also had the spring rolls, this item does not look like your traditional spring rolls, but the taste is identical and delicious. My dad also like the Vietnamese iced cofee with milk. I will return with my wife and kids. Finally a good Vietnamese restaurant on...
