I used to live a few doors down from the restaurant, and every time I walked past it, it was always packed. I’m glad that I finally came and give it a try. For appetizers, I got a crispy calamari. It came super quick, within 5 minutes after I placed my orders. The batter was light and crispy. The calamari was tender. However, the sauce paired with it was a bit strange. It was the ginger dressing you’d get when you go to a regular Japanese restaurant, the kind on top of the salad. It didn’t go very well with the calamari. I also ordered an ikura sushi and a scallop sushi. Both were nice. The scallop was soft and tender, but the natural sweetness was a bit too mild. The ikura was nice and not too salty. The rice was slightly warm, but not sour enough. In addition, the rice was falling apart when I picked it up with my chopsticks. I also got a “good time” roll and a Manhattan roll. I forgot which was which, but they were very similar. One had tuna and salmon on the outside, and imitation crab meat avocado and cucumber on the inside. The other one had salmon slices on the outside, and avocado and asparagus on the inside. They were both okay, but a bit boring flavor wise. The texture contrast was nice though. Lastly, I didn’t know they were cash only. They should probably put a big sign on the outside. Good thing I did get enough cash on me. The service was nice and the server was friendly. I accidentally left too much cash in the tray, and he came after me to return my money. I really appreciate that! Overall, it was a nice Japanese restaurant. I just thought the food would be better.

Great BYOB, cash only spot for sushi. No reservations but didn't have any trouble getting a table around 630pm on a week night. Delicious sushi. The truffle sushi was very delicious and light. If you like truffle, it's worth a try. They let us sit there for a nice long time too which I really appreciated.

Poke was a pretty solid sushi spot with a fun environment. Cash only and BYOB! Too bad you can't bring liquor cause I'd love to bring a bottle of hibiki or Yamazaki. But they do allow wine and beer. The rolls were good, but the nigiri style was just fine.

The prices and quantity of the food is absurd. This place acts like it’s a Michelin star restaurant charging an erroneous amount for small pieces of fish. The quality is most often fresh, but definitely not always. Being a cash only restaurant on top of it all should not be allowed. BYOB means one 750ml bottle per two people. That’s not a lot. We order $120+ for two people and they have the audacity to charge $1 for an extra small plastic container of ginger. The tuna bomb is $15 for four small bites which are essentially smashed tuna with rice, sriracha, mayo, and tempura flakes. Basically a spicy tuna roll configured differently. Ordered the yellowtail scallion roll and it was the sorriest roll I’ve ever had in my entire life. Grocery store rolls are better than that. I have given this place several tries ordering rolls and I would say you’re better off just getting a la carte sushi/sashimi. The seaweed on the outside was wrinkly and the size of each cut piece was the circumference of a nickel — honestly, maybe smaller which is hard to believe, but BELIEVE ME. Also ordered salmon, scallop, yellowtail, albacore, eel, salmon roe nigiri - all were fresh but extremely small. I just can’t warrant spending $120 and then still having to eat pizza and popcorn after the meal because you’re still hungry. There are better options with superb quality like Sugarfish for example. Also, not to mention they have completely copied the Sugarfish logo/website. UNORIGINAL. Will not be spending another dime at this place. I would have no problem seeing this place disappear as a result of covid, or just in general. You...

I had took a date to this establishment. She has avocado allergies so we studied the menu to find a dish that she could enjoy that didn't have any avocados. She ordered a roll that was seemingly safe and to our surprise there was avocados present. We informed the waiter and the manager of the mistake. We even informed them that no where on the menu did it mention or indicate the ingredients of the roll, and we also informed them that she has allergies. The server took the dish away. When we got our bill we were still charged for their mistake and when we spoke with the manager they tried to accuse us of eating the rolls after we informed them she was allergic and her server took the rolls away from the table. After I told her I wasn't paying for something that we couldn't eat and it was their responsibility to inform the customer of what they're purchasing she finally said she'd only charge 3 dollars for a 8 dollar roll. I paid for the meal and didn't leave a tip.. The customer service was terrible. The menus weren't informative and the food was average at best! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. At least if the food was amazing they could justify their attitude but it was extremely average. I would have given this establishment 0 stars but I was unable to using...
