My favorite pasta dish here is the paccheri with sweet sausage and mushrooms. I also have throroughly enjoy the carbonara, and the calamari with fried shrimp and vegetables is always a great starter. You can't go wrong with any of the desserts either. There was a special once that was a ravioli dish with veal, sage, amaretto, and raisins that my mom is still raving about a year after having it. The only thing I haven't loved here was the riggatoni with eggplant, but only because the menu offers so many other choices that I happen to prefer. I have been here many times and I much prefer this restaurant to the crowded nightmare that is Elios around the corner. The owner here is extremely friendly as well, which is always a nice bonus. It's a long and narrow restaurant but it's very cozy and not at all claustrophobic inside. Great place to have a long lingering meal with friends.

Inedible. I ordered Tonnarelli Fatti in Casa con Trafila do Bronzo al Cacio e Pepe to go, and it was so bad I spit out the first bite and threw away the entire dish. The flavor was so bad that even the smell was off putting, so I sealed the container shut before putting it in the trash so it wouldn’t stick up my whole place. Also, the regular pasta was a weird texture and not properly cooked. The bread that comes on the side was very good but definitely would never eat here again.

Neighborhood delight! This is my go to dinner place for a chill Italian meal. All of the waiters have been here for the past 10+ years and welcome you like family when you come in! The fig gnocchi and chicken martini are my favorites!

Service was slow. Friendly but very slow. Took over a half hour between appetizer and main course. No apology for the delay. Main course was barely warm and not as advertised. Pasta wasn’t cooked properly, tomato sauce was a few halved tomatoes and contained a small amount of crab meat for the price. And it wasn’t that busy so not sure how that dish took a 1/2 hour to make. Plus while I was waiting at bottom of stairs, after using the restroom, for one of the waiters to come down the narrow stairs, one of the cooks opened the door quickly and struck me right in my spine and no one apologized to me.

Don’t recommend. With so many other Italian restaurants in the upper east side, I would spend my...

Went for a family dinner with my two young kids. Asked for children’s menu which they did not have one but waiter offered to prepare small dish of penne with butter. Guess what? 28$ ? When asked he stated that was the cost. Eventually manager apologized but found the intention was from the waiter dishonest and deceiving. It was a small dish for a 5 yr old. Overall, food had good taste and we were served promptly. Food was good but cold except the 28 dollar past for my kid. Ironically , the soggy chicken parm was 26$. In my opinion, no reason to come here with so many very well run Italian places in the area. Really sad they get away with this. We felt we were a tourist...
