Pollo Campero — Restaurant in New York

Pollo Campero is an iconic family franchise from Guatemala, Central America that specializes in chicken. grilled or fried. they advertise a special family recipe is used. I get it. It's there. I loved the grilled chicken. its flavorful. I didn't care for the boneless wings. as we know, anything fried is bad for us but if you like fried food you will like the boneless wing selection. to me, it wasn't too bad. probably would taste much better if they grilled the wings. I loved the corn bowl. that was terrific. the beans are good. both black and red beans. Pollo Campero is worth a stop over. the 7 subway line (103th street stop) is steps away from this establishment and if you're going to the Mets game, I recommend you buy chicken from here and place it in "see through" baggies, so security at the stadium can analyze what they wish they could bite in to. (smile). this practice at Citi Field applies to all food items entering the stadium. ie. corn salad or the beans. rice and or french fries is served at Pollo Campero too I didn't try either but I'll assume it's delicious as the meal plan I had. O' and when you place your order, you're given a number to place on a stem at the table and your food is served to you. I am currently here at pollo compero. I like the atmosphere. However my host Lucilefailed to explain to me that if ordering chipotle non spicy empanadas that you are really ordering Peruvian verde empanadas. When my order came I sent it back because the inside of my empanadas was green.. when the host Lucile came she told me that I ordered Peruvian verde. To my surprise, I could not believe that she was saying that . Then she kept cutting me off when I was explaining to here. How this really got escalated was that the host kept sending this lady over that did not speak English. I told her please stop sending this lady over I only speak English. I can't believe that I am an American spending my American dollars in America and I can't even get a English speaking server to communicate with. This is not shade against Spanish people or Latino people. All I'm saying that here in America almost every piece of paper is translated into Spanish to make the Spanish speaking community feel comfortable why can I have the same accommodations from that community. Whatever! But to the owner.. my cashier name was Lucile howvever the host on the ticket was Sara. Why Lucile with her sassy fresh mouth and bad attitude is not wearing a name tag. Needless to say.. I will never come back to this pollo compero location. I only hope you guys begin to give the American English speaking community that come to this store the same courtesy that...

I will love to give them 5 but food was horrible cold i told them but they didn't do anything about it sweet plantains was burn and real greasy like it was fried in a dirty oil or old oil they was horrible cold and not fresh and they didn't do anything about it when we ask also my friend French fries 🍟 was as well super cold and not fresh regardless we ask for everything fresh and extra hot they didn't care we ask for grill chicken they give us fried chicken because the grill was not working they said,and the place need it to be clean the floor was dirty and also some tables we have to clean the table ourselves i was upset because I told my friend it was a good place and she never try it before,was the first time,for her pretty bad experience and when I ask the customer service they look at me like what you expect like I was wrong for asking like I was wrong I never was disrespecting I ask kindly but they didn't...
