11/30/24 Gave it one last try but glad to call it LAST! Their bread is horrible so decided to buy a half water/ milk-based gelatin cake. It’s not as fruity or delicious anymore. The water-based portion didn’t even taste like the red-raspberry flavor and the milk-based portion was bland, not wholesome …. So either they are using 2 percent milk or are mixing it with other milk types. Just bland. Never again. The following week I bought two (6) oz jello packages to make and dipped in a can of del monte fruit cocktail. My jello was way freakin better and DELICIOUS. I’ve learned my lesson, never pay for an overpriced jello cake ever again. Sad … how their quality of goods have fallen over the years. Shame!

Horrible BREAD & disappointment!!! Bought bread this morning from the selection and it was all stale and hard. The stale bread is purposely placed in front of the tray. I spent close to and from $110.00 via Lift just to come here from west Manhattan. Called the store to complain and they (the cashier) replied “okay” and she hung up. Not even an apology or an offer as to "how can we fix this?" Such a lack of professionalism but then again, I am not buying bread at Balthazar on Spring Street. They should not be selling yesterday’s bread for next day. Will never buy here EVER AGAIN. Save your money and Stay Away from this place. People who rate 5 stars surely don’t know what great bread is and are probably friends, family etc. Ask yourself,”why support this business during the pandemic if they are not honest or don’t even care about selling you fresh products???? $140 down the drain. And besides, the Product speaks for itself. Not memorable at all!

Venden pan todo duro y tieso. El pan duro esta enfrente y el fresco esta colocado al proposito atras. Hoy en la mañana fui a comprar pan y tan decepciónado!!! EL PAN QUE VENDEN NO ES FRESCO y ES PAN DE AYER, ESPECIALMENTE SI VAN POR LA MANANA A COMPRAR EL PAN. Antes de comprar, averigüen bien. JAMAS compraré aquí de nuevo. Cuando llame para quejarme.... ni siquiera la cajera/o el dueno/o el generte se disculparon y ni tampoco me ofrecieron otra cosa o un regreso de dinero. Al contrario, ni les importaba. La cajera simplemente dijo, "ok" ... y me colgo. Que verguenza y falta de profesionalismo. Guarden su dinero y sepan bien a quien apoyar durante esta pandemia. Falta poco para el dia de los Reyes. Su rosca no es sabrosa AQUÍ. Pero gasten su dinero y sean ustedes el jurado. Me encanto la rosca de su competidor de la panadería Paco!!! Este negocio si que vende rosca sabrosa.

En fin, lo peor es que un negocio venda pan de otro dia y todos sabemos que el pan de Mexico no se vende asi. long: I have been going to this bakery for over one dozen years; almost every time that I go visit my mother. At times, I feel a bit guilty, that despite having a backpack almost full of homemade meals that will last me several days, I sneak into this place before getting on the train to get the sweet cheese bear claw danishes. I can't even wait until I get home. I start eating it while I'm waiting for the train to arrive, and then along the commute, I sneak in a few more bites.
