La Mitad Del Mundo — Restaurant in New York

Let me just begin to say that this restaurant is the worst I ever been to , the waitresses always have a stank attitude and are very rude to customers, we have requested extra little plates for our entrées, while we wait for the main course, we notice the little plates were dirty and we sent them back ,mind you they caught an attitude. Then we kept waiting and waiting for the main course , we ask the waitress and (she said just wait is coming). 1 hour and a half for our food to arrived just to be cold 🥶, we brought it up to their attention as we expected they catch and attitude. We thought our family night out couldn't get any worse, there was a small cockroach walking around in our table and that's when we had a enough, we told the waitresses just for them to say we were the ones who brought the roach and we planted in the table, so we ask to speak to the manager to resolve the issue, then they said the manager didn't want to speak to us and that they were waiting for the owner of the restaurant. We waited for literally an 1hour for the owner ,which she tried to do her best but kept trying to make it not a big deal . Please save your money and time. Place is horrible. Don’t bother coming here for World Cup qualifiers. The audio was terrible. It went from loud to quiet several times throughout the game. The video kept lagging. At some point we were 5 minutes behind the actual game. People started to watch the game on their phones!!!! They charge a tip and they never attended me once. And on top of all that they have the audacity to charge a cover for all this sub par service. I left as soon as 1st half of the game was over. Save your money. Do not come here. You will regret it. I tried giving this place a 2nd chance but it’s not worth it. Please go somewhere else. I’m so upset...

Mitad del Mundo is a cozy spot in Queens with super affordable lunch specials — I don’t remember exactly if it was $16 or so, but the portions are generous and the price is definitely budget-friendly.

The service is really good, and it’s a peaceful place. I’ve even brought my laptop and done video calls there without any issues.
