The Food: pretty good. Say 3-4 stars. The Atmosphere: kind of cold and sparce. Say 2 stars. The Neighborhood: kind of rough. Say 2 stars. The Price: 4 stars. The Value: About 4 stars. The bathroom was clean: 4 stars.

I am rounding to about 3 overall, since it's authentic and does good volume. But it's not a dining experience. It's a place to get a meal, get some take out, or cater your party.

There are a lot of other places around and they may be a little nice for dining. It seems to do a lot of take out.

You're not going to bring a date here unless you want her to break up with you or she's a really good sport.

Cash only. On a kind of busy street and parking can require a walk back. That can be an issue.

PS, Any suggestions for really good/authentic food with some atmosphere on the cheap? I'm open to trying lots of...

The worst spot to eat I order a tuna salad and I had two cockroaches, and when i called them they cursed me out and told me never to call them again. the delivery is bad theyre always asking you for tip and when you don't get they curse you out, always trying to extra money, the desserts are spolied, I will not tell people to eat in this place you will get sick. And everyone that makes a review is family members or friends they trying to give their restaurant a good review and dont ever get the sweet plantains cause they give you okd ones ajd if you ask for fresh obes...

Horrible! Went there with my buddies and we ordered tripe (mondongo), which we were so excited to eat btw, and it smelled like I was served a plate of sh. When I bring it up to the "server", she tells me "it's tripe what do you expect". What I expect is for them to clean it good enough so that it doesn't smell like a plate of sh when you serve it to me.
