Amazing - the service, the food & the atmosphere were top notch! Especially our bartender/waiter Alexandros!! To start off, I was there last night with a good friend, our experience, was a bit rocky at first. They had a sunset hour menu but was relatively hidden because it was only available at the bar, which I wasn’t told about it when I was seated. We only knew about the menu because my friend stumbled upon it on their website previously. For the amount of people there, I was surprised they gave us hell about not being able to order the sunset menu unless we were seated at the bar. However, nonetheless we decided to change our seat and head over to the bar, which was the best move! The watermelon salad they offered was refreshing. We then ordered almost everything off the sunset menu I to try, which included salmon sashimi, tuna tartare, truffle fries & veggie chips. To top it off we also ordered a lobster pasta. The food came out delicious, especially the truffle fries, which I couldn’t keep my hands off of. The lobster pasta was a good portion served 1/2 lobster whole and about 1/2 lobster mixed in the pasta. I had a psaraki spritz, as I didn’t know about the sunset menu when I ordered, but I won’t knock it because it was delicious and refreshing! My friend ordered a few of their “Have-a-Margarita”. Then we tried some mango-margarita shot and those were delicious!! To end the night we enjoyed a delicious traditional Greek dessert, bogusta! The staff were very friendly, fun and efficient! A good part about sitting at the bar was Alexandros! He was teaching us about Greece and explained some of the food for us. Since he was at the bar consistently, he was available whenever we needed service. Totally made the entire dinner and definitely made up for the rocky start. I would totally recommend coming here & sitting at the bar, if it’s weekday. If it’s weekend or after 7, the other tables offer a gorgeous view of the east river, which provides a picturesque backdrop for your photos. To the management, I’d suggest giving offering the sunset menu or something similar to the non-bar seat area.

Hidden Gem of Authentic Greek Flavor — Psaraki Is a Must-Visit From the moment I stepped into Psaraki, I felt transported to the heart of a Greek seaside village. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and authentically Mediterranean. The restaurant boasts a stunning waterfront view, with the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges framing the skyline. It is the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable meal. The food is exceptional. Each dish is prepared with care, tradition, and remarkable flavor. From the fresh seafood to the perfectly seasoned vegetables and classic dips, every bite reflects the essence of Greek home cooking. The ingredients are clearly of the highest quality, and the preparation honors both heritage and taste. The service is equally impressive. The staff is genuinely kind, attentive without being intrusive, and eager to share the story behind each dish. Their hospitality is heartfelt and sincere, which enhances the overall experience. A special mention must go to the owner, James. He is truly a visionary. His creativity, attention to detail, and deep care for the guest experience are evident in every aspect of the restaurant. His presence elevates Psaraki from excellent to unforgettable. I also appreciate the branding and design. The menu is beautifully crafted, and the visual identity of the restaurant is both modern and respectful of Greek tradition. If you are searching for authentic Greek cuisine in a setting that feels both relaxed and refined, with breathtaking views and world-class service, Psaraki is the place. It is rare to find a restaurant that delivers so fully on quality, authenticity, and hospitality. Five stars. Thank you, James, and thank you, Psaraki. I look forward to returning soon

A Conversation with Zeus Over Charred Fish Psaraki by the Water – Williamsburg There’s a strange kind of grace at the edge of Williamsburg, where the river catches light like honey and the city hums just behind you. That’s where you’ll find Psarakis—tucked against the water, as if it’s always been there, waiting for you to notice. It’s not trying to impress. There’s no scene, no performance. Just a breeze that smells of salt and dill and sprinkles of lime juice, the sound of laughter folding into ferry horns, and a kitchen that cooks like it remembers something sacred. Dimitri—James, if you ask too casually—moves through the place like a conductor who’s already heard the symphony. His food isn’t about tricks. It’s about memory. A grilled fish arrives with blistered skin, its flesh falling apart in perfect silence. Tomatoes that still taste of sun. Olive oil like a soft exhale. Even the char has intention. Tiny fish I’ve craved and he has them. Like the grail I’ve been searching. The wine is poured without fuss. The view does its work quietly—Manhattan glows on the other side of the river. But here, with your hands a little oily, your lips stained with lemon and sea, you’re not in the city anymore. You’re somewhere wilder. There’s joy in the simplicity. A generosity in the restraint. Psarakis doesn’t shout. It invites. So come. Bring the people you love. Or come alone and let the light feed you. Stay for the sunset. Order the fish. Talk to strangers. Or just sit still and listen—Zeus might be whispering in the wind. Psarakis by the Water isn’t just a meal. It’s a place that reminds you how to feel human.

The food was overall very much mediocre. We were seated right away (my husband and I).it was Friday evening but the place was empty, just few tables. But it never stopped us before. This is how we found what became out favorites, but unfortunately this was not the case. The view is absolutely beautiful and what should have been an amazing experience was rather very VERY mediocre. It was not bad, it was just ….nothing. And maybe if we did not end up paying almost !$300! for the 2 of us , I would probably not write this and just forget about this place. As we were seated and given the menu, i saw the option “fisher’s choice”. I asked the waiter if this is something he would advise or should we just order from the menu. He suggested we go with that, as this would give us a true experience. So we went with that ( i think 78 or$76 pp) it was supposed to allow us to try a little bit of everything. So when i say a little, i mean literally, VERY LITTLE! But i will get to that in a bit. It started of not bad with four little spreads ( not bad-not amazing), vegetable chips (too oily in my opinion) a small but good greek salad and a slice of baked cheese. All that was served with a nice basket of pita bread (that was very tasty!) the main course followed by in the description it said : branzino calamari and grilled octopus. We had a huge plate ( and im speaking strictly about the size of the physical plate, not what was on it) brought out with one octopus tentacle, a small squid/calamari, and two small, very small pieces of fish. You know, whats sad, is that i actually cant describe or say if it was good or bad it was just… nothing :( actually the squid was not good. It was very fishy. This plate was served with some greens and absolutely amazing fries. The greens were again very bland. To finish off our meal, our special came with coffee and greek yogurt topped with some fruit which was actually also very tasty. Both my husband and i had two drinks and all that came out to be $289.97. We enjoy going out to eat, and always up for trying new places some good and some are not that great. This was rather disappointing. Maybe because what we paid absolutely was not worth it. It was not tasty, it was too little ( but who cares since it was not that great anyway). Maybe if we ordered off the menu it would have been different. Its a shame. The location is beautiful. Not a place we will be going back to or mentioning to our friends. For $300 my expectations are at a totally...

If you are ready to eat the worse food ever pick this place my experience for mothers day dinner 🍽 was the worse what so ever I being in millions of restaurants I post reviews often is my job my son and his girlfriend took me to this place that the only thing you paid is for the view cause is face to the river Williamsburg bridge that is really what you paid for the view and I don't have time for that what am looking is for delicious food and good services, my son didn't let me said anything because he feels so embarrassed him self like it was his business he said mom this man the for sure work him self up to keep this place on moving,I understand but am not my son the food was horrible cold not fresh and the grill octopus was bad smell horrible and tasted like it was not cook right the lemon potatoes have no flavor only like burn oil salmon was cook with no flavor neither they need to better those flavors otherwise his going to have problems to keep this place open need help I know what greek food is and this place give it a real bad name sorry but I being honest, not counting the waitress who have a attitude and a deep absent that make difficult to communicate with customers, my daughter in-law ask over 10 times for lime ask as well for other things in the table several times and keep being ignored because he claims to be busy and keep forgetting .the owner came to the table but my son didn't want me to said anything to him because he feel bad for him, ridiculous he needs to know to better future services for his own benefit. I end up in the bathroom real sick vomiting the few bit I took bad real bad food sorry but is the honest truth, not counting how expensive was that food paying for something you didn't enjoy because was bad ..I don't mind to paid what ever as long is delicious and am happy with the service, the only time you see a happiness in the waitress face was at the end because it was paid time and they already charged for the tip in your bill as well so to get that big tip for something he did nothing for he didn't deserve it ..sorry if you are ready for all that drama just because have a river view so that is the place..I look for quality ..well about parking get ready is a...
