9.6.20 - fastest to download the NYC Ferry Hornblower App to get your tickets, which when activated is only good for 90 minutes (single one way). Kiosk is on Kent Avenue, not at the boarding ramp. Note that there is a risk of the ferry being full so even if you show up on time it's possible to not get on. The staff is very nice and patient.

Beautiful area right by water front to catch East River ferry. Nice place to visit even if you are not going on the ferry. Nice walk path, tables and chairs to sit and have picnic or read a book.

Ferries have a limit on how many people can get on board. Wont let people in, unless people leave at that pier. It comes every 15 minutes or so. First two had no one coming out, third one had one person out & in. We had to wait over an hour- and got on the fifth one. Saturday afternoon started waiting around 3pm to go to Dumbo. People get wild trying to...

Bad experience with the ferry’s. People jump in line and there is little control on the right order of who goes in first. There is max capacity on the boat so they only let X people in depending on the X amount of people who got out. Make sure you state your position in line if not you might miss...
