Reyes, located in Woodside, Queens, is a fantastic Dominican restaurant that offers a true taste of the Dominican Republic. The standout feature of this cozy spot is their Dominican breakfast, which is a perfect way to start the day. From the classic *mangĂș* (mashed plantains) to *queso frito* (fried cheese) and *salami*—all served with a side of crispy *mangĂș* and scrambled eggs—each bite is bursting with flavor and authenticity. Aside from breakfast, Reyes delivers an array of authentic Dominican dishes that are expertly prepared. The *sancocho* (a hearty meat stew) and *mofongo* (fried plantain mash) are particularly popular, offering rich, savory flavors that transport you straight to the heart of the Caribbean. Their *chicharrĂłn de pollo* (fried chicken) and *arroz con habichuelas* (rice and beans) are also must-tries, showcasing the best of Dominican comfort food. The only drawback is that Reyes is closed from Friday to Monday, which can make it a bit tricky to get a taste of their delicious offerings during the weekend. Nonetheless, if you're in the area and craving authentic Dominican food, Reyes is definitely worth the visit. The flavors, the quality, and the friendly atmosphere make it a standout spot in Woodside.

Great little spot for Dominican food! We had the mangu, eggs, fried cheese, and salami for breakfast. It was amazing! The place is small and little room to eat there so we took it to go. The owner is very friendly and anxious to please. Great size portions and the whole plate was only $6! Very filling and it hit the spot. Highly recommend!

Various food selections and homemade taste. You will encounter a good-natured man behind the counter, taking and putting together customer orders. This man is welcoming, attentive, courteous, accommodating and considerate. He allowed me to taste the lentils before committing to the order. The ladies further back who were cooking were obliging, pleasant and also quite skilled with food preparation. Quite reasonable prices. Flavorful food. And if I’d like to order authentic Dominican food, “Reyes” will be amongst my first choices. What stands out about “Reyes” is their respect and sincerity towards the consumer entering their establishment. They have the patience to review the daily food items. And they showed genuine consideration for us while we were selecting our food. I’ve been to other similar locations where the counter-people were a bit hasty, or less considerate when you needed a moment to understand your selections. But the people who manage the production and expedition of the food here have by far the best interpersonal skills when working...
