Excellent Food and Five Star Service!!!

I love food, especially Punjabi food that is accentuated by Mughlai dishes, and this restaurant surpassed my expectations in all aspects.

It is an interesting story of how I discovered this hidden gem in New York. I was visiting my relatives and this restaurant happened to be catering at their event. Not only the food at the event was excellent but the love and the care with which the food was being served by the caterer was exceptional. The customer service was most admirable, second to none!

Upon my enquiring, I discovered that they have a restaurant as well and at that very moment I decided that I shall be visiting this restaurant with my family. Though they were quite busy over the weekend but the owner was happy to accommodate us with a last-minute booking as I was flying back with my family to London the next day. I must say that the evening was very well spent, with mouthwatering and flavoursome dishes - each and every dish was scrumptious and well presented. Whether you love Veg food, Non-veg food, Punjabi, Mughlai or fusion food, this is the one place where you will find it all. Please, just don’t take my word for it, go yourself and give this lovely place a try, you will not be disappointed!

I am not a prolific reviewer but the tasteful food and fond memories of that evening that I spent at this restaurant with my family compelled me to write one. I hope you will find this helpful and create your own fond memories at this place.

We were coming from NJ to JFK on our way to London. We wanted to eat some authentic Indian food for lunch as wanted to see if NYC could do Indian food as good as London. And Rockway Grill is just fantastic. Found them on google and is a good thing that we did. Some of the best food ever. We started we the mixed kebab platter and I remembered the kebabs we used eat in Delhi. Seekh kebabs and malai tikka are to die for and tandoori shrimp and tandoori salmon are finger licking good. Full marks to the chef. Then we put ourselves in the hands of the chef and asked for suggestions . And what can I say - DELICIOUS. We had the the butter chicken, dal makhni and palak paneer. I have never had such delicious food outside of delhi. This place is better than many in UK as well. And the owner spent time with us talking about our trip, our experiences and it added a special touch. Guys this place is not to be missed. A true gem. Take a look for yourself and you won’t be...

WE FOUND A THUMBTACK IN THE FOOD! (PICTURES) We have been regular customers since we found this place on Grubhub, and even left a positive review a month ago. Just tonight we came for 1 order of chicken tikka masala, 1 rice, and 3 orders of naan. We do not know in what part of the order the thumbtack was in. My girlfriend had found it while eating, and would have swallowed it if she didn't feel it poke her tongue and bleed. We had placed over 10 orders in the past, and I am more than upset to take my positive review back and contact the health department. We do not want our money back, this was just horrible and we could've ended up internally bleeding without knowing it. I am avoiding this spot...
