The owner of this place showed extreme temper and hostility toward me and my friends when we visited a couple weeks ago, and it has taken a lot of courage for me to write this review. First of all, my friends were waiting for me inside, and when I arrived and went to the counter to order, the owner met me with immense rudeness, saying that my friends should have ordered faster. I remained calm and ordered 3 kimbabs. We then received a wrong item, and when I asked about it the owner said it was my fault for ordering incorrectly, and that he repeated my order back to me (which he didn't). I decided it wasn't worth arguing, and laughed it off saying it was probably the glass screen at the counter that kept us from hearing each other. We took the wrong item and went to sit down at a table. The owner hastily stopped us and said they have a “rule” where customers must announce at arrival whether they’ll need seating. We saw, however, just moments ago, a family came in unannounced and grabbed some seats with no issue from the owner. I realized the owner was being discriminative against me and my non-Korean friends. We decided to leave, after stating our regrets on this unfair treatment and that we’d write an honest review. As we make it outside the door, the owner runs after us, yelling at the top of his lungs, profanities against me, my parents, and my upbringing. We fast-walked without saying a word, but he continued to stalk us all the way to the end of the block. He yelled “DID YOUR PARENTS TEACH YOU THIS WAY??” repeatedly so we turn around to confront him, but he kept coming extremely close, raising his hands up and pointing threateningly. As things got even more heated, we make a run for it and cross the street and thankfully he didn't follow us after that.

Needless to say, this was a traumatizing experience for us and feel like we should have called the police then and there. But I decided to write this review for the benefit of the community, and also in hopes that the owner would look back at his behavior and know that it's now okay. It is the type of behavior that hurts not only his business, but also the feelings of many many customers who he should be thankful for finding his place every single day.

Came here over the weekend, really excited for some Korean food as I don’t live in an area that has any Korean restaurants. I was visiting a few friends and we saw that this place had decent reviews and decided to head on over before a movie. We got there and the place was completely empty so I sat down while one of my friends who speaks Korean went over the menu with us, all of a sudden one of the employees shouted us to get up and that we couldn’t sit there. We’re all super confused as there’s plenty of space and again nobody was sitting at the other tables so we asked if there’s a problem and the employee that shouted at us said we couldn’t sit at that exact table because they “put their delivery and pickup items there”. At this point , we’re wasting time and we decided that we just want to order and head out, so we try and order but the employee that shouted at us just straight up refuses to listen to us and only speaks to the friend of ours that speaks Korean, who then has to repeat herself several times as they kept asking again and again what we wanted to order. Of course, our order comes out completely wrong, the food looked as if it was slammed into the containers and as if it had been sitting around for a few days, (by the way it took them half hour to get us our food). So we go back and tell them our order is wrong, they’re shouting at us at the same time that we’re wrong, and we want our money back. They refused to give us our money back and so we left. I’ve been living in NYC for about 20 years and have never had an issue this bad in my...

This place has a variety of menu & doesn't take that long to have your order ready, mostly ready by around 15 mins, and the price is reasonable. However, last two experiences were clearly disappointing. The second-to-last time I ordered, the portion of my order, tuna cup rice, was clearly less than it used to be. It was late already so I let it go. The last time was even worse, as I ordered tempura soup and not only the portion was less, I actually chewed a piece of plastic wrap, which must have been covering tempura, and that was disgusting enough. What made it worse was that when I called the store and asked for a manager, the guy who answered said, "Why?" I was so upset and told him that that's not the proper way to talk to the customer, and when I spoke to the manager, I literally told the manager that it's time to train that idiot employee. I will definitely look forward the next time I order, and will update...

Rolly Kimbap is a hidden gem for me when it comes to enjoying Korean food on a budget. The staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful, which really adds to the overall experience and makes it a welcoming place to dine. While I wouldn't say it's the absolute best Korean food I've ever had, it's definitely good quality and very reasonably priced. The portions are quite generous, so you always leave feeling satisfied without breaking the bank. I love that Rolly Kimbap is conveniently located on Northern Blvd, making it a great spot for casual hangouts with friends, cozy dates, or even family outings. The atmosphere is versatile and relaxed, catering well to various occasions and preferences. It's become one of my favorite spots to enjoy a tasty Korean meal without any fuss.

Oh.. I see a lot of bad reviews from this location and I will add to that. I usually go to the other location (according to the guy here, there's nothing to do with this location which makes sense) but tried this place out as this one has tables. Food was below average, service was not good, and everyone there had an attitude. I ordered a couple set and 3 orders of Kids Kimbab. I asked to take veggies out as my kids would take them out anyway, but the size of the Kimbab was smaller than my thumb. Full of rice with very little amount of non-veggie stuff in there. Never going back.
