I know this female boss who runs this store very long time, heard about a lot of bad rumors about her attitude toward customer and her bad food quality. I believe this female boss here runs this business for long time enough to earn money that she does not even care about services toward customers anymore. THIS IS NOT what I just think but heard from a lot of different peoples that I know as well as from my friends. One time what makes me so shock was that a customer who was waiting in front of me was complaining about the kimbap that she ordered previously. she was saying that rice quality did not look that fresh. suddenly, the female owner was like "we dont have time at morning time, how do we possibly cook rice at morning? we always cook the rice at previous night." I mean if I was that customer position, I will start to curse that female boss out but that customer did not bother to take any action and just leave the store. Her attitude was just disgusting and looks so unprofessional period. of course it is your choice to whether you want to go this place or not but please be awarness and be careful especially food quality for kimbap during...

I might be biased because I've been coming here for kimbap since I was a little kid, but honestly, no other kimbap in the NYC metropolitan area compares to Nolbu. I honestly get a bit giddy just even at the thought of Nolbu's kimbap, especially because the kimbap options in Manhattan and BK are mediocre, bordering on sad.

I've tried some of the other kimbap spots around Northern Blvd, but nothing has come close to hitting like the 1 2 punch of Nolbu's spicy tuna kimbap and crispy chicken. BBQ squid and bulgogi kimbap are also solid options. The kimbap here is always made to order so the rice is soft and nice, unlike the hard, dry stuff you might find in pre-packaged kimbap.

The hard-working ladies behind the counter have been slinging tasty kimbap for decades now, and I really hope they keep it going. Please, give them all of your money so I can continue to enjoy their kimbap whenever I pass by Northern...

Comfort bunsik food. It's not extraordinary, but if you're looking for a quick bite, this is a good spot. The combo gimbap didn't have much flavor. I didn't see the ham inside my gimbap; it just tasted like mushrooms. I didnt like how they used lettuce instead of cooked spinach. The fried chicken breading was good---it had a nice crisp. But ratio of chicken and breading was off; it was more like fried dough. Chicken was also dry. I liked the tteokbokki and gimmari. Tteokbokki wasn't too spicy and they were generous with the veggies. Gimmari was 3 for $5. Kinda pricy for just fried noodle rolls, but they were relatively big, I guess. I paid around $37 for my food.

The most under rated kimbap spot in queens. Kimbap here is made fresh and stuffed to the max with ingredients. Spicy tuna, spicy beef and squid were all killer. The rice cake was delicious and perfect texture but the American cheese threw me off a bit. I think a mozzarella cheese would’ve been better, the American cheese flavor made the rice cakes taste a little weird. The beef and kimchi dumpling was another shocker, delicious and highly underrated. Another must order is the fried chicken. Crunchiest fried chicken you can ever have. Especially dipped in the rice cake soup, it was an experience. I just wish the rice cake soup didn’t use American cheese...

The CHEESE TTEOKBOKKI taste the best!!! Even though the cheese is not melting one, but the sauce is really good! Kimbap are okay, I tried Tuna Kimbap, Spicy tuna Kimbap and spicy bulgogi Kimbap, they are all good. But I don’t recommend the crispy chicken sticks. It’s very chunky but the fried powder layer is toooo thick, the chicken actually is very little The staffs are friendly here, even they might not know English well. Overall, it’s 4 stars
