Rossi's Lounge — Restaurant in New York

Had my first date at Rossi’s Lounge, and while the company made the night special, the experience itself was unforgettable—thanks in large part to the phenomenal food and truly exceptional service.

From the moment we walked in, the vibe was spot-on: welcoming, stylish, and just the right mix of intimate and energetic. But the real star of the night? Our server, Austin. His knowledge of the menu was impressive—he didn’t just list dishes, he guided us through them with genuine enthusiasm and insight. He offered thoughtful recommendations, was quick to anticipate our needs, and made us feel like VIPs without ever being overbearing.

And the food… wow. Every dish was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. You can tell the kitchen takes serious pride in what they do.

Between the amazing service, flawless food, and a perfect setting for a first date, Rossi’s Lounge is officially on my list of favorite spots. Already looking forward to coming back—whether it’s for date number two or just a night of...

The bar had slow service, poor air conditioning, and no draft beer which most dive bars do. The bartender poured us a shot of mezcal that would probably be best used as a drain cleaner. When we let him know how bad it was he told us it was some bottle a sales rep from a liquor company gave him and that he never tried it. My friend asked him to change it for a tequila & soda which he replied “have some class and pay for it.” Additionally, he went on to say how half the shot was gone (a shot is 1-1.5oz). I had a few seconds working in a bar and I never saw any of my co-workers tell someone to pay for a drink they do not like let along from a bottle we got for free from our sales rep. In the end his friend apologized on his behalf so I guess this is as close as you will get to rational hospitality experience here. The worst part…I think he was the owner. Can’t fire him :(

13+ years in the industry as a bartender and this is the only place I call home. Excellent beer selection and both Max or Tim are a bartender's bartender. The red lighting, great movies playing, the Metallica pinball machine, I haven't even mentioned the darts or the huge selection of board games they have to choose from, it all ties together in a place where I've had many late nights with friends. A proper dive and a gem in the neighborhood! The vibes are always great and I don't know what I'd do...
