Terrible experience and food. My child and I dined in here. The waitress was very kind and polite so we thought okay cool. We started ordering. For some reason we both had a gut feeling about the soup and without conversation my child stopped eating it after one sip.

We then start hearing one of the workers coughing. I look and say ok he is kind of far from the food. I am exhausted from a long day of walking so my judgement was off. I look back after a second round of coughs and I came to the truth that is literally in the area the 2 chefs are making sushi. Just 1 to 2 feet behind them at an angle.

I try to be optimistic and say to myself he wouldnt do it in the direction of food and maybe I am turning around at the wrong time. But then it felt weird when I saw him keep staring.

Then the chicken fried rice and sushi came. We eat the sushi. Still felt weird about the food but again, extremely tired and i regretably ignored my gut especially as a mom. So I definitely have some guilt here. I saw the rice and chicken and saw it all extremely shiny and taste a bit off. We eat at many Japanese resturants enough to narrow down to our top 3 favorite places. This was weird to us.

I eat a bit of the rice then stop. My child only took 2 bites. My child winking at me to go. This is rare so I knew we both mutually felt uncomfortable. Then i heard coughing and sneezing behind me. The same man coughing earlier was now by the door sitting two tables down behind me. I keep looking back each time he coughs. I signal to my child we are about to leave. I call for the check. I should have told them I am not paying to be honest.

When my child and I were outside, we had a talk and I was told how the man kept looking at her especially when the food came. She was facing them while I faced the opposite. I am disgusted. And of course once home, I am in the bathroom sick! Thank goodness my child is okay and probably due to having less bites.

We will not be going back. From the bad food to the sick worker around the food! Plus we were the only ones there. I would have walked back out initially upon seeing this empty space but we ordered sushi for pick up just one time before from here, and it had customers that time. Just bad judgment all around but a lot learned. And that will be our last time...

Bland sushi, rude to customers. Several orders, both online and on phone, I requested no disposables which they ignored, sending plastic utensils and chopsticks that I don't need (I'm at home, why would I need them? Plus, it's needlessly wasteful). When I called to complain, the person on the phone said "they don't look at the special instructions" on the online orders (they apparently don't for phone orders, either). I also complained that my calamari order, at $7.95, had a stingy 8 pieces in it, which comes to a dollar a piece (see below). She talked to the chef and he said he always adds 9, which is still stingy, but in this case, wrong. When I tried to reiterate that mine had less than that she interrupted me, several times, and would not listen to what I had to say. I've worked in restaurants and this kind of adversarial attitude towards customers is unacceptable. I would have been fired for talking to a guest like this. When she continued to talk over me, I lost my temper, yelled at her, and hung up, which is not cool, I admit: ordering from here put me in a bad mood. There are not many great food options in this neighborhood, but it would be better to patronize somewhere else. Judging from other reviews, if they make a mistake with your order, they'll blame you. I won't be ordering...

The food is decent. However, the service is terrible!! I placed an order on Uber Eats. Sometimes they follow the notes, others they do not. I called a few times and was told that they received the order notes. Therefore, I didn't think it was necessary to call the following time I ordered. Needless to say they did not follow the note at all. However what was more disheartening is the rude response I received from the worker. At one point she began speaking to her coworker and laughing about the situation. She then very rudly stated that she had just come in and didn't make it. Before providing a solution, she hung up the phone. Assuming this had to be an error, I called back at which point she picked up and hung up on me without speaking an additional 3 times! How rude! I've never had a restaurant mess up my order and then get made and disrespect the customer. My teacher friends have recommended Wasabi (86th street). Great food, and much better...

My official favorite sushi spot. Got the sushi for 2 with my girlfriend, was able to substitute the rolls for another one that we preferred! The sushi was AMAZING. Where else would u be able to get a hunk of sashimi this big? The rolls were amazing too. Sushi was super fresh, and it didn't break the bank. I've been to other sushi spots around newyork with the same "sushi for 2" deal but this the only one I genuinely think is worth it. Left super full and took the rest to go. PLEASE come check this place out, they will not let u down! - Ps, the miso soup slapped :) and did I mention that the presentation was adorable?!?! 🥺

I ordered from Sake Sushi for the first time, and it was amazing! The food was ready in less than 10 minutes, which was super quick. I got the Shrimp Tempura Roll ($8.00), Avocado Roll ($5.00), Spicy Salmon Roll ($6.95), and Eel Avocado Roll ($6.95) — everything tasted fresh and delicious. The sushi was good quality, and the portions were just right. The total was $35.77, including tax ($2.92), which I think is a good price for the quality. The staff was friendly, and the service was fast and smooth. Definitely ordering again!
