Soho Cafe & Grill — Restaurant in New York

Today I went to get a small soup of turkey chili and and one piece of chicken and when I was taking two extra pieces of small bread they guy behind the counter got nasty and telling me I had to pay five dollars extra for two little pieces of bread. This gentleman that works there along with a tall gentleman in his early 30s and the other one in his mid 40s are very nasty and disrespectful. I have 20 years coming here since I was young with my family and sometimes i will buy food up to 50 dollars or 100 dollars and I have the bank transactions to prove it. They are always nasty and disrespectful and slamming my food around when they are making it. Why would I have my wife and kids and fellow city workers as the cops and sanitation workers and mta workers. As a former city workers I will talk to the other city unions not to come into this establishment as long as those two arrogant disrespectful workers are there during the morning shift from 8 am to 4pm behaving like animals and mistreated the costumers and not showing love and care. Especially me that I have years coming here since I was 12 years old and now these two workers treating the costumers like trash and the owner is letting them get...

Omg. Awful. Over a year ago I ordered from here twice through grubhub and the food looked like it had been sitting out for weeks. The first time, the chicken had questionable colors so I threw my food out. The second time I ordered a smoothie and there were huge chunks of beet in there. I gave it a break until recently. I wanted to get a fresh juice from there and it was passable yet the staff was very rude to me. That was just yesterday. I came back today and even though the staff was very nice the busboys were dragging trash bags past me like it was their mission and customers didn't exist. As a matter of fact, these last two times I came in to place an order, the busboys are ALWAYS dragging trash bags or rolling trash containers right behind the customers as they're placing their orders. Today I went there and a trash bag busted open and it spilled disgusting waste liquid on the floor and the rug by the door. It left a long trail and the busboy didn't even realize it. Seriously?! If it's not one thing, it's the other. Maybe it's my luck. Who knows....

I have eaten here from time to time. It is definitely one of the "hipper" looking cafes along Church Ave. It's pretty small as well - there are a few tables and seating by the window. I feel like the quality of food went down since it opened and it's a fairly new place. When they opened, I really liked their burgers, chicken fingers, and fries (all of which they have lunch combos for). However, when I order them now they're usually dry and not appetizing. I had a waffle there too; it was over cooked and tough to eat. Their Romanian steak sandwich is good. Their food is okay - definitely not worth the price. They are good with their drinks though. The cafe has a pretty good selection of beverages - from cola to kombucha. Their smoothies and milkshakes are pretty good as well. Overall it's an alright place to go to. The workers are nice. I'd go there for any of their beverages on a summer day, but for food... I'd rather grab a bagel at a deli...
