Do yourselves a favor and order your dishes family style. We ordered a Thai iced tea, a purple lemonade, calamari, beef pad thai, crab curry, and mango sticky rice.
Calamari - So this is a personal preference. I personally love that the calamari was light on the breading. And the chunks of squid were big. I was eating more squid than breading. Absolutely love this.
Beef pad Thai - The beef was cooked very nicely and not overly done. The noodles were creamy and aromatic. It’s a familiar dish that will always be comfortable for anyone to order because it is dependable.
Crab curry - The real star of the show was the crab curry. As you can see from the picture, there was a generous portion of crab meat. The crab meat had a pleasant sweetness to it. The dish was absolutely delicious. This would be the dish I would keep coming back for.
Mango sticky rice - I’ve been on a mission to find a mango sticky rice in NYC that is similar to the ones I had in Thailand. Having tried so many, I can say that this is the closest one I can find. The portion was generous and is definitely shareable between 2 to 3 people. I was so full by the time we had the mango sticky rice, but I was determined to try it. And I’m so glad I did.
Overall, this is a pleasant addition to the neighborhood. The staff were so pleasant and hospitable. I don’t have to travel all the way to park slope for the same pad Thai over and over again. The dishes here are more interesting and have more depth imo.
And one final note, the Thai playlist they had playing in the background was really good! And the decor is...
Read moreAs someone who has travelled extensively to Thailand purely for the love of their food, I can confidently say that this Thai restaurant is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic Thai flavors. For me, Thai cuisine is all about the balance of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy, and this place delivers on every level. And the best part? It’s incredibly family-friendly, especially for those with toddlers who can’t handle spicy food. Pineapple Fried Rice is a must-try. It’s a perfect harmony of sweet pineapple, savory rice. My kids absolutely loved it. Highly recommend Chive Cakes. The crispy exterior paired with the soft, flavorful interior is a texture and taste sensation. I’ve never seen this dish anywhere else, and it’s something you cannot miss. The Green Curry is another standout dish. It’s rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced—not too spicy, but with just enough kick to satisfy those who enjoy a bit of heat.My daughter, who’s usually hesitant about curries, couldn’t get enough of the Beef Pad. It’s packed with layers of flavor, from the tender beef to the vibrant vegetables, and it’s now her go-to dish whenever we visit. What truly sets this restaurant apart is how accommodating it is for families with young children. The Crispy Chicken Wings, cut in half for easy eating, making them an ideal finger food for little ones. The Little Bear Dessert was so delicious ! It was the highlight of the meal for my girls. Whether you’re a Thai food enthusiast or just looking for a great meal with your family to make your kids smiles, this restaurant will...
Read moreGood flavors, uninspired menu, overcooked meat.
Note this is during their soft opening so it might improve.
At first glance there was nothing on the menu that I was excited about ordering. It has the standard noodles, curry, etc. Even their signature dishes sounded meh. There wasn't any unique or original dishes nor an authentic dish you don't normally see on a Thai menu. They serve everything you've had in every other "neighborhood" Thai place. So you're not coming here for that killer dish.
I suspected from the menu that the meat wasn't going to be well cooked so I ordered chicken in my dishes. No point in paying extra when overcooked beef and shrimp taste worse than overcooked chicken. Chicken tasted like it was cooked beforehand and recooked when added to the noodles, curry, etc. It was tough and dry in both the pad Thai and the green curry. You would expect a bit more flavor from the chicken in the curry if it was cooked in it absorbing the flavors, but the chicken itself was bland. The chicken wings were way overcooked and dry as well.
The best part of the food was that the flavors were well balanced. Not too spicy, not too salty or sweet - I hate Thai food that's too sugary. It was consistently good in all the dishes ordered. But it lacks that kick you would expect from more traditional Thai cooking.
Service was really good, you can tell they were genuinely happy to have us there. Atmosphere was nice as well.
Basically nothing that will make me want to come back or order takeout, unless someone in my circle suggests we...
