Where do I even Begin?...

So Many Gratefulness to say about Calla Karate and lemme start now by saying.. We moved in to the neighborhood and learned about This Karate School, I called and right away I felt that warmness welcome and atmosphere of the school and from Sensie Mary and Kyosie Eddie. My Daughter then was almost 4 and my son was almost 3(she is noW 9yo and my son is 7yo) and still attend their karate class routine. My Children are both on the spectrum and both Sensie Mary and Kyosie Eddie helped them improved their core strength, attention deficit with their patience and dedication. Slowly my two children transitioned from receiving PT to No longer needing PT at their school. This is the only Karate School that accommodates children on the special or children or young adult that has special needs. They are truly amazing and they treat each children as their own, it is NOT JUST A SCHOOL, it is ACTUALLY A FAMILY School. I always recommend Calla Karate to each parent that I met or my children's Friend Parents to get their kids enrolled in Calla Karate! I wish I can give more than 5 Stars because it is beyond 5 stars this Karate School and Sensie Mary an Kyosie Eddie deserved! Words are not enough to express why I highly recommend Calla Karate and the good things about this school. All these years, I forgotten about posting google review and realized I need to because Calla Karate Needs to be recognized as one of the Best Karate School in Staten Island. They are the pioneer in Self Defense! I will continue to send my children until they earn the highest belt, I know myself self defense so it is important that my children do learn Self Defense and PLUS Attending Calla Karate Class help promote...

Calla Karate is the BEST!!! My 6 y/o son has been a student at Calla Karate for almost a year. My son is the type of boy who can't stay still. He has a lot of energy to say the least. In the past, we've put him in soccer, basketball, swimming and scouts but nothing has held his attention the way karate has. Sure, he likes karate as a sport but mostly I attribute his interest and dedication to the fantastic instruction and experience that Calla Karate provides. Unlike many of the big name karate schools on the island the staff at Calla Karate are inviting and personable. Shihan Eddie and Sensei Mary know every child's name from day one. They make every child feel special and in doing so they have built a beautiful extended family of students. The instructors are very patient, knowledgeable, and they provide the structure, discipline, and positive reinforcement that my child requires.

Over the past year, I've watched as Calla Karate has shaped my child into a better person. Shihan Eddie and Sensei Mary even helped my son when he was being bullied in school. In addition, I've watched my son's fellow classmates flourish and have witnessed the staff work seamlessly with students who have learning disabilities. Calla Karate is truly a wonderful school.

I highly recommend this place because so far this is the best karate place on Staten Island that my kids love going to 3 times a week.I love that fact that they specialize dealing with children that are special needs. 3 years ago I said let me try it out for him and see how he does . His first day the staff greet him eye level with open arms, made him feel comfortable, there loving and affectionate melted my heart . When he left that day he was so happy and excited and asked me everyday if he can go back . 3 years later he now does private classes and karate 2x a week .With him being autistic it very hard to find places that are all about your children .This place definitely was all about him and his needs and was able to cater to his needs and wants . My kids absolutely love this place and the staff❤️. The staff are amazing . They always have a smile on their face , they are very loving and caring , and they love their students like family ❤️ Thank you for always making my kids feel safe and loved each and everyday .This place it not just a karate place it became our family .If your looking for a great place for your children or special needs children you should definitely try...
