Update: Sebaseba is an incredibly special part of this wonderful neighborhood. I've been coming here at least once a week since my first visit. The staff is always friendly and kind providing service with a smile. The store is always filled with people either eating or picking things up to go. Pricing is incredibly reasonable and for that reason I am able to enjoy it more often which makes me happy. This place has become a habit and guilty pleasure of mine and something i look forward to. I love walking to sebaseba from my apt and getting out in the fresh air. Walking in and seeing people happy and greeting me with a smile. Picking up some of my favorites like a jamon y queso or mojicon or bunello and a coffee. Nothing beats when they hand you the bag and you can feel your items are still warm and fresh. Afterwards I walk over to Travers Park, sit down and indulge in my favorites, while i enjoy people watching/ children playing / people walking their dogs. Sometimes I listen to music or a audio book while doing this. Coming to sebaseba has basically become part of my "wellness routine" lol.
Surprisingly this was my first visit to Sebaseba. Moved to the neighborhood a year ago and although Ive heard great things about them I just never got there. The place was busy everything looked fresh. Love that the coffee is make your own and they have a tank of steamed milk. This morning was one of those days where i was moving a bit slower than usual and I accidentally overpoured and spilled a little. I kind of panicked for a second because i couldnt find paper towels/napkin and didn't want the staff to have to clean it up. The girl that took my order must have seen it happen and came to help me she was very kind and sweet. I believe her name was Valentina. Long story short I'll definitely be back. Great and affordable...
Read moreGiving 3 stars because the food is very good. I love their empanadas, their pandebonos and pandequesos and really everything I’ve tried is very fresh. The bad is that the ladies serving you, in particular the black haired one is plain out rude, which is very unusual for Colombian places and people. For context, I spent over $80 which is a good amount for a bakery and my mother, I and boyfriend were meeting up with my aunt who we hadn’t seen in two years just wanting to have delicious empanadas and hangout. Well this lady, was plain out rude and with an attitude failing to acknowledge you until she felt like it and giving the silent treatment, serving you with reluctance as if you were a beggar instead of a paying customer. It was mind blowing to see how different she behaved with what I assume are regular customers so I’m not sure if it was personal but we did not feel welcomed at all. One example of the many instances she was rude, I asked for small paper plates to split the two desserts and she was reluctant and with an attitude. You’re better off ordering...
Read moreTo begin, when I walked in the lady serving the food was scratching in her ear and then when she saw me walk in she immedietly stopped and greeted me. Then I ordered my food and she added 3 things I didnt order. When I confronted her about it she said that I did order those things and they could check the camera. After her accusing me I asked to speak to her manager. They were both so rude and her manager tried to lie and say she heard me order those items when wasnt around when I ordered. The food was so mediocre and the chicken was burnt and dry. Lastly she was very persistant about me leaving a tip when she didnt do anything to deserve one.Very unproffesional service ive lived here for more than 30 years. Ive been to Seba Seba so many times, never again. Tipping culture has gotten completely out of hand, I shouldnt have to tip you for pressing a button on a screen, dont get me wrong Servers and bartenders will always get tipped by me but to give that service than expect a tip is...
