Was recently here for an event. I loved the open concept of the space with the soft lighting, the fun italian wallpaper. The large round tables help endorse a sense of community.
Immediately waiting for us on the tables were the first course composed of italian charcuterie, a marinade of olives and foccacia bread. I delightfully enjoyed sampling the different cheeses with salami as well as the grapes. I opted for alcohol and received two rounds of different proseccos. I found them to have a good balance of sweetness, light and crisp. There was also the option of sicilian soda and mole soda available. I was already getting stuffed, would have been satisfied if things ended there. Then arrived the main event, Simo's top 5 pizzas that we were there to sample. Each table reached 2 generous pies of Margherita, Diavola, Tre Gusti, Prosciutto e Funghi, and Quattro Formaggi. My favorite overall was the margherita, followed by the quattro formaggi and tre gusti. The slices were huge, thin but with a pillowy dough, covered with the right amount of sauce to cheese ratio.
Lastly, the staff here went above and beyond. The owner seemed very genuine. I was the last person to leave yet they remained super attentive and friendly. Their logo on the pizza says 90 seconds meaning that each personal pan can be made that quickly. I look forward to visiting this venue again and to going to their other locations...
Read moreThis was our first time trying Simo Pizza- never heard of it before even though we learnt now it has multiple locations in Manhattan.
VERY impressed with the pizza - it's outstanding Neapolitan style pizza and the prices are excellent - especially for New York.
It's definitely on par with the best Neapolitan pizza in New York City!!! We ordered 2 pizzas - one Margarita and added burrata, and one Tre Gusti. Both were absolutely incredible and having been to Napoli multiple times, I can assure you that it was as good as you would get in Napoli!
Our only disappointment was the drinks options, specifically the vino which is overpriced in our opinion, although somewhat normal for New York.
Apparently the owner is originally from Napoli - he should have "vino della casa" as an option on the menu like they do in Italy at most restaurants.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and highly recommend this restaurant - will...
Read moreHad my baby sprinkle here today and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment I began planning, Kate was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and made the process feel easy and stress-free. She helped coordinate everything seamlessly and was quick to answer every question I had.
On the day of the event, the staff at Simò went above and beyond. They were SO kind, helpful, and attentive, constantly checking in to make sure everything was going smoothly without ever being intrusive. The space itself was bright, clean, and perfect for a relaxed, sit-down lunch. The food came out fresh and delicious and everything was beautifully presented.
I can’t recommend hosting an event here enough. It felt both effortless and special, and I’m already looking forward to hosting something else at Simò...
