I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback about my experience at the Hudson River Commons Starbucks in Troy, NY. While I’m not affiliated with or related to anyone who works there, I am a daily drive-thru customer, and the incredible service I receive has inspired me to write a recommendation.
To put it simply, this location is exceptional. It’s not just a coffee stop for me—it’s part of my daily routine, and the team there plays a significant role in starting my day on the right note. Every morning, as I pull up to the drive-thru camera, I’m greeted not with the usual, “What can I get for you?” but instead with a warm, knowing, “Salted?” That one word says it all—they know my order, they remember me, and they’ve taken the time to make what could be a routine transaction feel personalized and special.
It’s this consistency and attention to detail that sets them apart. No matter how busy they are, the staff always manage to stay upbeat, friendly, and efficient. I rarely have to wait long, my order is always spot-on, and their cheerful demeanor often brightens my day. They’ve mastered the balance of professionalism and warmth that makes me look forward to my brief time at the drive-thru window.
The experience feels effortless, but I know it’s anything but. Their ability to remember me by name and order, even through a camera, is a testament to the effort they put into building connections with their customers. It’s clear they take pride in their work and in making every visitor feel valued.
I’ve been to many Starbucks locations over the years, and while the coffee is consistently great, the team at Hudson River Commons elevates the experience to something truly unique. Their dedication is a reflection of what I imagine Starbucks hopes to achieve in all its stores—a place where customers feel seen, appreciated, and part of a larger community.
They are the reason I keep coming back, and I hope they receive recognition for the outstanding service they provide.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and to them for continuing to set the bar high for what a coffee shop...
Read moreI think I’m going to try and get a some sort of petition to get this location closed , I work from home now I don’t have time in the morning to get my coffee , so I do delivery but sadly because I live close to this store they send my order to them but before they added this store to the delivery it was coming from another location and I order was always perfect and tasty but since this store got added it’s but nothing but money wast and time wasted I honestly can’t take it anymore it’s soooo frustrating but I need my coffee they even got me to start thinking about making coffee at home but like the whole point is to save time and get my tasty Starbucks coffee but this location sucks soooo bad if I need to go to Starbucks I go to the one that’s 16 minutes away instead of this one that’s 5 minutes away please the least you can do is take it off the delivery section , they refuse to make drinks correctly , they don’t add things , drinks come not filled , food items missing and or not warmed if you ask for it warm like every time it’s extremely frustrating, and don’t bother calling the store they never pick up I swear I want to cry because I really just want my coffee how I order it but I’m not sure what the issue is with this location , how is the training that bad that they mess up every order , like ask 10 people that go to Starbucks in Troy and they would tell you...
Read moreWorst customer service i’ve ever seen. These employees are extremely condescending zero communication skills as of it was there first day with a job, they all made multiple customers uncomfortable by trying to demean you. I witnessed Zyhir aka zy - ear challenge multiple customers when they are ordering and grinning with sarcasm to the point they no longer felt comfortable even ordering from them and leave because of the lack of basic problem solving skills. I would rather go to any other starbucks than go here and get a free side of attitude with my coffee. Zyhir needs to watch a few more training videos on customer service before being allowed to deal with customers. There was also a a light skin short girl big bun on her head who got loud and said “omg what is they saying now what’s they problem” when i asked for a manager (she’s not the manager) Have a sense of professionalism and represent the company culture IDC if you are CEO DM GM or employee ! Part of being a barista and working with people you need to be likable or find somewhere else to work. Are they all high ? or are they just that terrible. Here’s a tip go buss tables that’s a good way to make money and u won’t have to deal with customers seeing you so were so clearly inconvenienced by...
