When my daughter and I arrived, we were excited to finally get new beds after suffering a housefire. We've been staying in our RV while the new home gets finished so a BRAND NEW bed instead of a fold out RV couch is a HUGE deal for us lol. Anyways, when we arrived, we were greeted by Allan, who was in the process of helping another couple. He said give him a few to finish up which was absolutely perfect as that gave us time to "window shop"(And Ry a chance to bounce on all the beds. I mean, you GOTTA test them right?) Once he was all settled, we started discussing options and prices and where our budget fell within his inventory.

I can honestly say I am ecstatic for us to get sleep on our brand new American Bedding Eurotop mattresses. While not splurging on the priciest option he had available, we definitely spoiled ourselves beyond his least expensive items. It truly seemed Allan had something in stock for any budget imaginable! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and really helpful. After all, it's not every day you go bed shopping, and it's been quite some time for us.

I don't plan to go bed shopping again for at least another decade however if I do, I know where I will return without a thought! It was nice to feel like our questions were valid and our feelings mattered. We weren't just treated as another dollar sign or pressured to spend any more than we needed to for what we wanted. In fact, Allan probably saved us a few hundred dollars just by explaining his inventory so well and helping us make an informed decision.

I have sciatica on my right side (which is my preferred sleeping side) and I couldn't sleep on that side with my old mattress. My entire leg would go numb, hip to foot and I would be up tossing and turning most nights. I needed a new mattress and fast.

He listened to my needs and suggested a double sided pillow top hybrid mattress. He worked with me on price and even had it in stock and promised to deliver it just a few hours later. I was SOLD.

Since my new mattress was delivered and set up I have slept through every night. No more sleepless nights. Crescent Mattress is by far the best furniture/mattress store I've ever done business with. After seeing that the Schenectady paper had named Crescent Mattress #1 in 2022, I gave them a call. "Allan" answered the phone. He was straightforward and relaxed with no apparent sense of urgency to make a sale. When we got to the store, I was relieved to find that it was a normal store, not a football field-sized place with so many choices we'd have to spend hours figuring out what we wanted.

Within half an hour, we'd ordered some good firm mattresses of a normal height and were on our way.

The delivery was similarly ideal. Because the usual delivery man had had a family emergency, Allan drove the truck, carried our mattresses over the snow and ice and up the stairs himself. Very good-natured and low key, I'm still pinching myself that this kind of service and experience is possible in 2022. Bonus, we're all sleeping better than we had been.
