Background information: There’s a buy 1 get 1 free special and we didn’t receive the free order.
The food was great. Literally no complaints on the food itself. The only issue we’re having is that we never received our free food.
Since the food was so good we wanted to place another order and just call them to include the free food we missed the first time. Sounds simple right ?
Nope. Not at all.
The person on the phone was really rude and unprofessional. She wasn’t understanding what I was saying. She kept saying she called to tell us we ordered it wrong. Saying we have to put 2 of the same order in the cart for the promotion. But my thing is…if you see we only ordered one. And it’s a buy 1 get 1 free special. Why can’t you just put the free one in the order ? It makes no sense.
Then when I’m saying I’m going to place another order she saying I still can’t get the free one from before…
Highly disappointed she really went back and forth with me. I asked to speak to someone else cause I felt like she didn’t understand. She said it’s just her. I’m like can I speak to your boss. She said no boss. I’m like when do they come in ? She said no boss. Then hung up.
So what did I do ?
I called back. I’m like there’s no chef ? Nobody I can speak to ? She’s like no…
I really was going to place another order because the food was so good but she ruined it for me.
Her customer service is horrible. Not even worth a star. All I wanted was my food. And I still want to talk about this situation with someone else. Please respond back with a number I can reach cause the way she was talking was...

I placed an order for delivery, this time, and when inquiring about the status of my order — I was told they didn’t have an order under my name. That quickly switched to, “the delivery driver already picked up your order” despite me looking at the tracking and seeing that a driver was never assigned. To top it off, the woman that handled the interaction was rude, continually spoke over me, and provided no resolution whatsoever. The food is normally okay, and admittedly, their food is often lackluster. It’s really a hit or miss. $100 later and I have no order nor my money. Read moreI was disappointed with my Seafood Platter order from Union Seafood Hoosick St. The seafood I received didn’t appear fresh, the color looked off, and it tasted spoiled. When I went back to the restaurant to address the issue, the woman at the front, who said her name was Cindy, interrupted me several times and told me to contact Uber Eats instead. I explained I wasn’t asking for a refund, only to share my concern about food quality and to possibly get a new plate that was fresh, but she repeated the same response. I’ve noticed the freshness and quality here can be hit or miss, and while the prices are affordable, food safety especially with seafood is important.
