DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS BAKERY!!! Soooo, this is an interesting story.. I ordered a cake for my Daughter's upcoming birthday. I placed my order online on April 1, 2022 for an April 12th pick up. I received a call from them today and they explained that they have to cancel my whole order because the ceiling is starting to collapse in the kitchen. I was disappointed but understood and was sympathetic. I was giving all of my payment info for the refund as well as the amount I paid because they didn't have that information. The cake was $29.99 plus tax and I tipped whomever was going to make my cake so that I could ensure my order satisfaction; however, the young lady initially told me they could refund me the $29.99 but not the tip. I then explained that I would like a full.refund including the tip. The young lady was very nice, put me on hold, and then came back on the line to tell me that I would be issued the refund including tip. The owner then gets on the line and that's where we take this weird turn.. He was initially very nice and apologized for having to cancel and explained that due to the snowstorm months ago, the kitchen is leaking because it is raining all week and they cannot fulfill my order. He then says that he is going to refund my order, "But with all due respect, I think it's unfair for you to ask for the tip back. It isn't our fault that the ceiling is leaking" I then responded "With all due respect sir, I think it's unfair to expect me to tip for service I did not receive." He then responded "Do you know what a tip is?". My response, "Actually yes. I was a server for over 20 years. A tip is appreciation for service received." "I did not receive any service from your establishment, so what am I tipping for?" He then proceeds to tell me to have a good day and hung up on me, so I had to call my bank to dispute the charge. I have never in my entire adult life had someone expect a tip for a service they never provided. I worked right down the block at the cross bay diner for 7 years and would NEVER expect a customer to tip me for service not rendered. How dare this man think it was ok to argue with me and try to guilt me into tipping when they canceled my entire order 5 whole days after I placed it!! Save your money and find a real bakery! The audacity! This bakery does not even deserve to be in business with such unethical practices!! Go...

Not the same place anymore I have been a few times hoping they were just having bad days and everything every time was consistently poor quality. Cake was sickening sweet and the chocolate rugalah which I been eating practically my whole life from sugar bun are not the same anymore they are now dry stale not the same I used to love . 5 workers behind the counter 3 customers in love and took me ten minutes to get to even have someone take my order . Sad I want this place to stay good but another business that’s gone way down . This was the last time I will order here and many of my neighbors say the exact same thing . They feel quality has gone down and no way close to being what it once was . Sad because very few good bakery’s left in the area I have to go to Long Island or ridge wood to get a decent cake and pastry . I feel like they are not even using real butter anymore but I could be wrong . Washing the frosting off the plates with hot water was hard so I think it’s just lard in the frosting because butter just melts away under hot water , anyway we are done with this place ! So as you can see the owner or his family member likes to make stupid remarks , well I'll answer that also . I have lived here all my life my neighbors and friends know me and knew my parents and grandparents not one person in the area has anything good to say about this place and recently a friend who moved away was back and ordered a V cake and told me itt was horrible and stale the whip cream never got soft it was like spackle and flaked off as well as the cake tasting like it had been in a fridge for several days horrible not fresh ! I love local small business and support them but this is not one it's a clown that invested in a bakery and then changed the recipes with cheaper ingredients subpar service probably to make more profit and feeds the local community subpar unhealthy food , AVOID THIS GARBAGE Here's an update on this dump this is how the arrogant owner responds to customer reviews as you can also see here many arrogant response to people critical of this bakery . So where do I begin and where do I end walking into your bakery feeling welcome by your staff so loving kind caring and all about saying hello is where you get me that's where it all begins today I just want to say it was a very very special day very very special time for me to buy things for my three little beautiful girls and for my wife which was devoured in a matter of 2 and 1/2 minutes by bringing this home you made a very very special Valentine's Day for my kids I don't even know where to begin with your food but just to say that it was absolutely excellent your cheesecake is out of this world I hope that you guys make it on the TV one day and really show the world what a real cheesecake is about Juniors has nothing on you guys from when I first began to when I walk in and to when I left was absolutely magical and just amazing I just want to thank you all staff for making this very very special day special for me and my family I would recommend this place to anybody you are also special and so amazing from the bottom of my heart you're not humans you're all angels that work there my name is Joseph you guys made this very special for meyou guys don't get 100 out of 100 you guys get a million out of a zillion out of a billion rating from me there is no 1 to 10 here there's one to Infinity and that's what you guys deserve you deserve everything and more thank you for making my day special I will be ordering out daughters communion cake even though we love 62.5 miles away it will be worth everyday dollar ,so let's start the list 1 cheesecake 1 million The chocolate hearts 1billliom The rainbow cookies wam Bammmmm delicious Your food and desserts out of this world Your staff infinity rating there is no number you can put on them so friendly and amazing Your place is clean and you can't find that anymore Your selection wow I can't even begin so much so here is to sugarbun I will be calling the local news channel to get you on tv ,I will be recommending this place to everyone and anyone I come across wish you all morning but blessing and love from the Albertelli family Joanne Joseph Gianna...
