Tacos Lupita — Restaurant in New York

I’ve been coming here for years and only had a couple of bad experiences and kept giving them a chance until last night was the final straw .. terrible customer service they always seem like their in a rush on the phone , they barely can hear you place your order with all the commotion in the background ; They gave me a completely different order then what I had placed ; The meat they put in my quesadilla looked like some left over meat they had; it honestly looked liked it was something they just found on the side I can’t believe they thought I wouldn’t realize … I ate only one quesadilla and from that one quesadilla I was non stop throwing up all night last night and woke up with the craziest heart burn ; I am out of words and cannot explain the amount of disappointment and disrespect I feel for this truck to serve me some unknown meat in my food; I will never be ordering from here again I wish I would’ve take a picture of the food but it was so disgusting I threw it out right away ; and when I called to let them know they had the nerve...

Disgusting place! My girlfriend and I had ordered a veggie meal, and we were served an obvious piece of pork. When we showed it to them they lied to us, and took the plate from our hands and wouldn’t give it back. I tried the piece of food, and I’m not a vegetarian, never was, and I love meat. It was OBVIOUSLY spicy pork. They raised their voices, and were extremely rude to us, we weren’t refunded or served a new meal. They stated it was mushrooms although there were other mushrooms on the plate and they looked nothing like the pork, so I asked them to show me the mushrooms that looked like that before they were cooked and they wouldn’t.They took the food back and told us we couldn’t stand there anymore. Fresh and balanced tacos. Had simple vegetarian/vegan (rice, beans, pico de gallo) on corn tacos with their red and green sauces-- this is addiction. Everyone including the owners work day and night to keep this truck running with quality and consistency.

I was able to meet the owners and learn that they are two love birds who met while working at a thai restaurant in brooklyn/church ave (so sweet!)--she was from Thailand and he was from Mexico. And though they had their language barrier, and came with very little to this country, they worked really hard and eventually began this food truck. They now operate this delicious business, employ many, and feed us! Really some of the most inspiring people I've met.
